Show some Class !

Dudes a troll. Ask the 2nd best fan base in the history of FCS football (incidentally ndsu barely cracks the top 5) App State about UM's class.

The difference is, App's program earned our respect. ndsu still has a LOT to learn.

So true. How fans of a such an accomplished program could act so much like EWCC fans is beyond me.

NDSU's program has earned my respect. However, their fan base has no respect from me and are the ones who have A LOT to learn. :thumb:

I couldn't agree more with ColumbusSilverback.

Griz fans could use some class. In fact, they could start by taking a real class at UM from this world-renowned scholar:

http://www.cas.umt.edu/wsprog/faculty-satff/default.php?s=Charles

He's teaching the youth of Montana that true understanding and acceptance will only come when they learn to poz their rival fans' neg holes. Let's hope the students lead by example.

Or how about taking a class from this professor of Chemistry and department chair at EWU? I hear his class is the most popular one on campus.

Another UNDSU fan who is upset that Montana fans don't worship and kiss the royal ass of the UNDSU team and fans. After he has been telling all his UNDSU fellow fans that Montana people are in love with the biiiizzzon. Show some class biiiizzzoon fans, and some respect for the board you are on.

I grew up in the Root. I worked for 25 years in the Midwest. I was lucky enough to bring my family back to Montana. Beautiful country no doubt. One thing I've noticed, the people are not the same. After many years of watching excellent football from Fargo to Frisco, I was excited to embrace and support the Griz program, but the attitude by many on this board is absurd. Most of it has nothing to do with football. I've had the opportunity to take my family all over the country to support the Bison, we have enjoyed and loved every minute of it. We have met many great opposing fans, we made many friends. Now, to be honest, I'm a little apprehensive to take my young sons to this Aug 29th game. Ill be looking for some intelligent life there, as will the nation."Don't make an ass out of yourselves". The Griz have a good tradition and are at a pivotal point, please show some class. Good luck to the Griz, the Bison are not unbeatable.

Relax... take your kids and enjoy one of the best staduims in all of college football. I dare you to walk through the tailgates in NDS gear. The only problem you will have is getting into the stadium on time from all the fans handing you beer and food.

It appears you have the wrong Montana team in mind. If you want your car keyed, spit at you, cussed at or your wife groped, head over to State. They have zero class and treat opposing fans like crap.

It has been proven that given a large enough sample a bell-curve of behavior will emerge. There will be a few saints and a few demons but the majority will fall in the middle as people who support their team and want to have a good time. Sometimes tradition will distort the curve a bit and Montana has a pretty solid tradition of treating visitors very well. With some effort you could find numerous posts here of opposing fans extolling the virtues of the Montana fan base. You will also find a few detractors. Your experience will largely be based on the attitude you bring on game day. You will likely experience a few idiots (as I did when I went to watch the Griz play Oregon in Eugene years ago) but by and large the fans will be gracious and inviting with multiple offers to share food and drink -- and of course talk a little smack. I can guarantee that your game day experience will rival any anywhere.

This is a perfect setup for a rectum joke...but we are just too classy for that...

We will be in section 116 come Saturday. We look forward to rolling through your tailgate!

Looking forward to a great game.

There will be many NDSU fans at our tailgate. You and all of Griz nation are welcome. Come by and talk some football. The NDSU fans at my tailgate are also seated in section 116. Lot "M".

Don't read too much into the crude of egriz, you're better than that. This is a pretty small part of Griz nation and most threads don't represent the fan base too well, just a few of us douches spouting merican.

Agreed! I had this same problem in my Griz gear in Fargo last year. I couldn't eat dinner that night because I was happily forced to eat so much with Bison fans. It'll be the same way when Bison fans come to our house.

Who had their car keyed or is this a lie?

Alpha showed a picture of his car keyed, but it came from Alpha, so it could have been a lie.

This post is exactly why Wa-Griz is no longer what it used to be. A guy coming to watch the game and debating weather bringing his 2 young sons. So I am sure said guy is not going to be standing up yelling at the top of his lungs, he will quietly sit in his seat and try and talk to his 2 sons. You should just sell your tickets to a real Griz fan that knows what Griz football is all about!!! FTB!

Yeah, there are maybe 10K-15K people who pass your "real Griz fan" litmus test. The Griz would have a partially full but very raucous stadium. That would be a lot better. I mean, you know, shame on someone for wanting to introduce their sons to Griz football. The nerve of the guy. They should have been born a Griz fan like... I mean a "real Griz fan" like you.

He should probably just sit down..

1. Lecturing a fanbase based off of message board banter is not smart.
2. Going on said message board and expecting to be treated with respect when you diss said board members is not smart.
3. As has been pointed out based off of just message board banter we (NDSU have some of the biggest douche bag fans *LakesBison* that even we NDSU fans can't stand). Doesn't mean I believe our entire fanbase is like that nor would I go on to any message board and expect to be taken seriously if I pulled the same stunt as you.
Lead by example. Show respect on message boards or at gameday tailgating ect and earn respect. You see someone being a douche call them out in person. Makes much more impact than sitting behind a keyboard

This is a Bison fan I respect. Too bad the douches won't learn from him. :thumb:

I am talking in respect to this game, this game they should pack as many I will not sit down, and I will not be able to talk after the game because I yelled my ass off, fans as possible into the stadium. Just so we can end the debate of which place is louder. I want to see at least 2 false start penalties in the first quarter on the Bison type crowd!! I am not trying to be classy, if you want classy move to San Diego and take Ron Burdandy's advice. Don't look for it on a forum with a very passionate fanbase!
