Should the Griz Hire a Pro Strength & Conditioning Coach

I know alot of people. I know the UM alums who were the initial investors in Ford. I've worked there. If you knew anybody of note, you could name drop too. But you don't, so you are shut out.
I know plenty of people, I just don’t feel the constant need to pad my ego. Everyone is well aware you are rich, well connected and powerful. No need to continually remind us. We won’t forget. I promise lol

Germer was great, but he lost his edge. Norcross has definitely improved the O-Line. Germer is a good dude but I think he struggled with line development as a whole. Individuals have done great (Brandon Casey anyone??) but in latter years he struggled to build a cohesive unit.
I completely agree. I think being here so long that you get comfortable at doing just enough. But I think picking up Norcross was definitely a good get. He has definitely gotten our o lineman to play better each week and he's made the most of the guys he's got. And I'm encouraging with the younger guys coming up. I think they need to concentrate on picking up a good center. Does anyone know who the next center up is after this year because both our centers graduate.

1. Do we have the consistency at the Oline coaching position needed to develop Olinemen?
2. What type of offensive lineman does our offensive system require? Are they the 300+ lb heavy weight behemoths or the lithe and agile 280/290 lb jab and step types?
3. Is the S & C coach training the Oline to fit the offensive system? If not, they should be.
4. Are the players putting in the work and then some and then some? If not, they should be.

Bonus: The HS players in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Texas, and Minnesota are already training in some of the premiere training facilities with premiere NFL level trainers. Back 25+ years ago when I first moved to Minnesota, I connected with a young trainer who just opened his gym and was training Matt Birk, Chris Weinke, Marion Barber III, Ben Hamilton, Ben Utecht and others that went to the NFL to name drop a few names. He was doing some cutting edge training at that time and had high school players lining up at his front door.

The irony here is that he is not truly rich, connected or powerful…men who are feel no need to tell anyone. Hoops is an embarrassment to the Lakota Nation. Giiwanimo.

Many players have stength coaches in high, or their parents get them into good strength programs.

All of our Bellevue high players trained with Tracey Ford. He's big time. The professional teams in Seattle go there. He trains guys after college before the Combine and Pro Day. All 3 of my Bellevue nephews, all of whom played at least a bit in college, trained with Ford during high school. He's a hotshot.

The guys I know trained with Loren Landow. He is now head of player development at Notre Dame but his gym is still here in town. Broncos and the many non Broncos NFL players who live here in the offseason train at his gym. Landow is a real big shot. He is the top choice for local guys to use before the NFL combine.
