Should Rainey read eGriz more?

Man, I feel like a caused a sh*t storm. I hadn’t really thought about it making it back to Shaun, but that’s my ignorance. However, I don’t think I would really change much to my original post (which he included a screenshot of in his tweet). I’m not saying he doesn’t put a good amount of effort into his craft, it just may not be for me. Not his fault. And it’s apparent he builds strong rapport with much of the staff and players. And I’m sure he values each of them. But on occasion I get the feeling he has a slight grudge toward the program. I’m likely wrong on that, but I had the feeling so that’s why I presented the question here. And yes, many of the responses started to go off the wire and had misinformation such as where Shaun graduated from and implying that he was part of the paper, so mainly why I bailed on the thread 😂. Anyhow, I’ll continue to tune into him and he very well could grow on me!

It's kind of like that Jim Gaffigan bit about McDonald's and how nobody admits they eat there. Go into McDonald's run into a friend and you'd rather say you're there to meet a hooker than to eat the food. That's eGriz to these guys.

EDIT: Found it. It's long, but if you think of McD's in the eGriz context, it works pretty well.
This is a perfect analogy, especially in the context of the cat fans who continually mock egriz but can't stay away. "I hate you, you're gross. When's dinner?"

As a media member ( and someone who votes in the media poll and pre-season teams in Men's and Women's Basketball) I will say you are all correct in one sense or another. It all comes down to salt... How many grains of salt will you take from what is said on this site... Every media member has 2 things... Thick skin for criticism and an undying need to be loved. Nothing wrong with anything anyone says on here, this isn't a news feed. It's a fan. Media members know that... (Side Note... If you don't think I came on here and read what everyone said about my 1st Cat/Griz Basketball Calls you are crazy)

Thick Skin, Ha! That’s a good one.

Did that original thread get deleted?

I am not sure what happened to the original thread. In that thread, I pointed out that he was doing the sidelines for the Cats before he did Griz games. That is fact! He is on here lurking, might as well comment himself. When in public scrutiny, need to be able to take a little criticism, just goes with the territory.
