With a short passing game you are never out. I love UIW's offense. Bobby ball is never going to cut it. I just hope all the Hauck lovers are watching this game.
Yeah, that Air Raid offense was beaten by a boring running team that completed but one pass and is going to Frisco - again. Like any offenses, they're only as good as the talent you have and the Lindsey Scotts are hard to come by. Maybe now the SacSt detractors on eGriz can take note of how good they were.BillingsMafia said:With a short passing game you are never out. I love UIW's offense. Bobby ball is never going to cut it. Bobby never has had nor never will have a creative short passing game. Its his single most glaring weakness as a head coach.GrizMania said:It sure wouldn't hurt to incorporate short passing game into the current griz offense. It seems like often the qb is pressured and doesn't have a "hot" receiver or a dump off guy. But more now than when phenicie was OC for bobby 1.0

The TOs had a lot to do with it and are so often a feature of Air Raid offenses. A good reason why the boring running team beat the fun-to-watch passing team. You have to have a great defense to cover for an offense that doesn't protect the ball. UIW didn't, as previously evidenced by the 63 SacSt put up on them.MikeyGriz said:kemajic said:Yeah, that Air Raid offense was beaten by a boring running team that completed but one pass and is going to Frisco - again. Yea, 4 turnovers by uiw had nothing to do with the outcome.
I watched the game and the turning point of the game was when the UIW player was sitting on the two yard line and the bizon punt hit him in the back. The bizon recovered and score a td. This has nothing with the style of offense UIW plays. If UWI and bizon meet in Frisco UIW wins in a blow out. Bizon got lucky.kemajic said:The TOs had a lot to do with it and are so often a feature of Air Raid offenses. A good reason why the boring running team beat the fun-to-watch passing team. Oh I had such high hopes when stitt got hired, I thought he would be the second coming of Don Read. But after watching 500 horizontal passes I was ready to welcome back bobby ball. Well that impulse has worn off and now we will have a new drop down qb who most will say is the next tom brady. The new drop down will get hurt in the battering ram bobby ball offense and it will be another disappointing season. Bobby is an old stale place holder who has absolute support of griz nation. maybe next year we will redo the poll.AZGrizFan said:GrizMania said:It sure wouldn't hurt to incorporate short passing game into the current griz offense. Didn’t most people on this very board piss and moan about Stitt’s “short passing” game offense?

I watched the game too but the one I watched NDSU only got a field goal after the punt muff recovery? Seemed a bit of turning point that IUW held them to the fg. Same game?
