I worked for a large retail store in college and I can think of 4 instances off the top of my head where people showed up late or not at all and we called and told them not to bother coming in the next day.

Well if our work selected us as one of the very best candidates in the nation for a new position, and was willing to pay us hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars to fill said position...

Don't read to much into it. He has been at all the rookie events and has worked hard from what I have seen. He has made positive steps at the rookie OTA's and has impressed. Mistakes happen. Wont be an issue at all.

Serious question. If he is suspended more than one quarter of football over the tasergate party, does he sleep through his alarm before his first NFL practice?

And don't try to nitpick apart my very simplistic question as I know it would be easy to do. You all know the jist of what I'm getting at...
I don't believe you, no way that is a serious question.  Good one though! I laughed when I read it.

Stupid is as stupid does. Tru either shapes up or ships out. At UM he's had issues & it looks like nothing changes for him now that he has a $million full-time job. Some of these kids don't know how blessed they are. Witness Ryan Leaf. Tru better shape up; otherwise, he'll be unemployed, because I doubt his college education, such as it is, is that valuable to him. I hope he shapes up and we hear nothing other than his successful playing for the Rams.

I disagree in this case that its not a big deal. If there has never been any history of off the field incidents you are correct. Honest mistakes happen. But I think when there has been past questions with off the field behavior, not showing up on time is a big deal as is puts you on the radar of the people that matter - the coaches, gm's, etc. Although this time alone may not be a big deal, it can be viewed as part of a bigger pattern. From this point forward, he better pride himself on being the first one in each morning and the last one to leave each evening.

I could not agree more. To say that others show up late for practice is the stupidest rationale I have heard, but I am afraid it is the mindset for said individual.

what a third garde move and yes it does matter....take care of the little things etc....look at peyton manning, mvp multiple times and first there and last to leave.....actions speak and say something about you ....words are empty.....

Million dollar job? I don't think he'll even be getting half of that a year... Plus why the hell does it matter? Are you his daddy?
