I think it is just the opposite. If you are in impact recruit, why go to a program with embedded starters and no chance of seeing the field for years? With a 3 win team, there are immediate chances for a recruit to contribute and play. Also, fan support has been solid as the stadium was rocking.

This is so true. Land some great recruits by losing, so you can then win. But, then, you won't get the great recruits anymore, because they will go to all the programs that suck. It's a classic "drop-22" that plagues the shitty teams in the BSC.
