She wants the D

Sorry. Just a creative heading to start a thread to talk about the defense of the griz and the offense of the Cats.

To start, this is not a thread intended to be smack. We can all admit there's a lot of looking at our teams through maroon or blue and gold glasses. I intend this to be a real discussion. I think we can all admit the Cat's offense is good. I think we can all admit that the griz D is good. So here we go.

Anyone else honestly excited to see the D of the griz vs. the O of the Cats? Lets face it, that game will really show us what the quality of each unit is. Anything before that is just speculation and smack. I know everyone talks a little "we'll see how good your offense is when they meet our D", or "we'll see how good the griz D is when then meet our offensive juggernaut" smack but no one really knows for sure how its going to go. I for one am seriously excited to see how we stack up against a good offense and how the griz D stacks up against EWU(without VA now though) and MSU. Would've been cool to see how they stacked up against ISU too. I mean the wins and losses are untimately what matters but I'm really interested to see this matchup.

Will we show you our O face all day, or will you get the D you think you have? Who's unit is better equipped?

Well it may not be as good as you think...the Cats usually tend to start shitting the bed about 2 weeks before this game while the Griz tend to get the ball rolling!

Hey and the griz lose in Missoula in recent years. And this year they play in Missoula. Cool story.

Congrats, you managed to (narrowly) beat the two worst Griz teams of the past 20 years. I guess scat fans have to hang their hats on something.

One thing that is apparent to me after following the griz and the BSC for many years is that things change from week to week. What seems to be common knowledge one week is turned upside down the next week. Those late November rival games in November always have a little different flavor than anyone suspects. I believe the bobcat offense will look a little more mortal when they come to Missoula in late November and our defense may even be smarting a little. With the wind and cold of November and a long season of injuries and attrition strange things may happen.

You are skipping alot of games there, the Griz D will have to stop Sac St and EWU before the Cats, we will know more of what our Defense is going to be capable of in those 2 games then we can talk Griz D vs Cat O.

David might be more of initial test than people give them credit for. At any rate, it will give a more complete pic of the D and O of the Griz.
