Shaw Injured

No, I just thought it was funny how everything is a pentaly or missed call or should have been this or should have been that with you guys. Shut the hell up and quit being a bunch of whinny babies. My god!! You guys are idiots.

Says the dude who's still complaining about losing in the finals at the Montana Cock-Smoking Championship last year. I'll tell you now what I told you then...you focused too much on the shaft and basically ignored the balls.

Reminds me of the guy from Weber that had his football career ended when two griz lineman chopped blocked him and it was so obvious, yet wasn't called a penalty on the field. Guess that is football though.

Oh, That's why you brought it up? That is probably why you brought it up 3 years ago when Montana fan's were commenting on how dirty PSU was in a game vs. MSU?

This is funny because I remember a few years back when the grizzlies ended the career of a player from Weber State with a chop block. Funny how things work isn't it?

p.s. His name was Derek Johnson.

So you got 1 chop block from 7 years ago to hang your hat on Montana being a dirty team and "whinny" fans?

Of course facts are somewhat elusive to you, as in your statement about replay use in the NDSU game, and this topic is no exception. For example, a penalty was called on Montana during the play:

The illegal chop block on Weber State senior defensive lineman Derek Johnson early on Saturday seemed to set the tone for the rest of the game.

Johnson, the 290-pound "heart and soul" of the WSU defense was visibly upset as he hobbled off the turf at Washington-Grizzly Stadium with a serious knee injury.

Montana was flagged for a 15-yard penalty on the play, but the damage was already done between the Big Sky rivals. The two sides were flagged 24 times for 240 yards as the Griz rallied for a hard-fought 18-10 win on homecoming.

And it didn't end Derek Johnson's career:
His right knee was basically torn to shreds following what was widely believed to be a cheap and illegal chop block in a game against Montana last season. He was carried off the field, and he learned that he had a torn ACL, MCL, PCL and meniscus. His kneecap dislocated, and all that held his knee together was skin.

Johnson was a senior last year, but he hoped to continue playing. When the NCAA granted him a sixth year of eligibility (he also tore his triceps in the 2004 opener and was granted a medical redshirt season), there wasn't much of a decision to make whether he was going to return for the Wildcats this season.

Thanks for clearing up why you post here, though.

Haha! Nice work.

Thankfully it doesn't sound like Shaw tore his meniscus... Be a big blow to lose the most effective aspect of this offense.

"Topping the list of walking wounded is punter Stephen Shaw. He was blocked below the waist and injured his knee. Tests indicated meniscus damage and significant swelling. He will probably be replaced by Chris Lider Saturday."

"“We’re beat up, like you are when you play a really good football team,” Delaney said. “(LB) Jeremiah (Kose) has a shoulder and some knee stuff going, (QB) Jordy (Johnson) has got some bangs and bruises, (NT) Tonga (Takai) has a shoulder going."

“Nothing real serious except for Jeremiah and Tonga probably are the two most, and then Shaw.”

This sucks. Despite a few uncharacteristic mistakes this season, the guy has been really good. We're going to miss having him on the field. He's been very effective.

Im not so concerned about Shaw..the others tho..ya that's scary..Kose needs to stay on the field through a season..and Tonga is irreplaceable...punter tho...Step1- catch snap...Step2-kick ball....we should be ok

That simple is it? I think Shaw has been very effective for us.

poorgriz complaining about UM fans complaining about refs is laughable at best.

How about this little conspiracy theory gem from BN. Way to throw stones buddy!

Should a Griz fan ref Cat games?

How sad is your life? I mean really, how sad is your life that your only joy is to go where you are not welcome to spew nonsense with no point. Do you need the number for the suicide hot line?

I'm sure I have it, let's see, oh, here it is 1-800-EAT-SHIT

Lidder can punt. If he can keep from shanking the ball we should be OK. Hold your breath if he punts the standard way. Those shanks are simply killers!

I hope he runs to the left and punts using the soccer type of kick. He almost can not shank it if he kicks this way. He is a lefty. This little rub could be what we need. Spark.
Also he can tackle.

Get better and heal up fast as you can Shaw!
