Shane Christensen finds fun, fame, fortune as Globetrotter

For those of you who don't get the UM alum magazine, the Montanan, here's a link to a nice article they had on former Griz Shane Christensen:

I have no idea why, with so much negative news the past few years swirling around the University of Montana, that Shane has not been more honored. UM needs more "ambassadors" like Shane and J.K. Simmons. Absolute proof, both of them, of the contrasting values UM holds over the large trade school to the East.

I love all the community service these guys do, but let's get real: I stopped watching the Harlem Globetrotter when I found out that all of their games are staged. The other team has no chance because the refs are total hacks and they let the Globetrotters break every rule in the book. I actually got so mad after their game last year in Spokane that I confronted Thunder Law on the court and called him out for the phony he is. I'm really surprised this isn't more of a scandal than it is. Sets a great example of sportsmanship for the kids
If you can honestly tell me you did not know that all Globetrotters games are staged -- and have been forever and ever -- then I will have to believe you have been living in some strange cocoon, and are totally unaware of most of the world around you. Why in the world should this be a scandal?????????

Shane needs a little more pub, although this was a great start here.

But if you've been paying any attention at all, you'd know that UM has honored JK considerably over the past few years. He was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award, the highest award UM confers outside an honorary doctorate. He has been featured in the Montanan. He has guest lectured in more than a few UM courses/departments. The list goes on.

Sometimes a few of you blindly rip on the University without really knowing anything about your subject matter.

Say, umm, can you type this again, but this time without holding down the "gibberish" key?

Thanks.

Since you know everything, I thought I'd let you know that some of us actually do keep up and know more than you think. As for the rest, where I and a close friend mentioned above meet fairly often is a neighborhood street in Studio City, Cal...Thought you, knowing everything, would know that...But, I am still wondering why it is, you and a handful of other people on Egriz intentionally try to put down others in nearly every thread here. Life is too short to be such an asshole.
