Tonight's a good example... read a thread and find mixed posts on the Men and Ladies. Often you don't know for sure which team/game is being discussed, until the end, if then. Come on... it can't be that hard. Just under "Grizzly Basketball", do a "Men's", and "Lady Griz". P L E A S E !!!!

We were tryin to keep people who didn't have either game access informed. We normally do split them, sorry if it messed you up. Try listening to 3 games at once ! :thumb:

I used to have separate forums for each but it wasn't wuite working out.

The confusion between the two usually doesn't happen.

A good way to protect against this is in the thread start with...

Men: Griz need to run the table
Ladies: Griz step it up once again

OR

Griz need to run the table
Lady Griz Step it up again

How about separate spaces for those who post facts and those who post baseless rumors as facts?

You wouldn't ever want to read about what some have heard? That would eliminate a good portion of posts and subsequent discussions. As long as posters are honest about their sources - to the extent possible - and carefully assess the credibility of the source, reporting rumors is a necessary and time-honored tradition in this Country. In fact, it's so much a past practice, that all sorts of institutions use it to test public reaction.

Combining the forums into one has increased the total number of basketball posts by quite a bit. Chris has the right idea with starting each thread with a subject that makes it clear which team is referenced.

I don't know what all the hysteria is about. I made it clear when the subject came up the last game that we were trying to keep some posters apprised of both games since they had lost connection to either game via net. To split those up would have been a royal pain in the ass. It didn't seem to be an issue for anyone but the person who has complained about it for 3 days now. I thought it was made perfectly clear we were not trying to confuse anyone. It wasn't done with that in mind. Can we move on???

I'm starting to understand how you were confused by, and misinterpreted, your sources regarding the bad information you fed the board previously on coaches looking for new jobs and being fired. Not being able to discern between men and women is fairly basic.

Kind of a reach, isn't it? You're right that the information was wrong, but I correctly reported what I heard from - as I keep saying - a source that would drop your jaw if I could ever tell. Dead issue, I think. I hope. Lesson learned. Different issue.
