If you fire a 7-4 coach, I assume you believe that the new guy can do better. If not the move really wouldn't make much sense. Anything less than 8-3 and I would think you pull the pin on Coach Hauck and roll the dice again.

Whether it's the boosters or the University or the AD, you have set a precedent that 7-4 will not cut it.

I am not saying this because I am a Stitt guy or anti-Hauck, I support whomever the Griz head coach is. Just saying that the expectation has been established. Better than 7-4 and beat Ag Tech.

Well 7-4 in 2018 would be a much bigger accomplishment than 7-4 was in 2017. There is a reason why UM didn't make the playoffs last season -- they didn't have enough good wins. One good win (NAU) didn't cut it with playoff committee. UM's non-conference schedule include 2 cupcakes. Their Big Sky schedule was heavily weighted with teams that finished in the bottom 1/3 of the conference, with injury riddled North Dakota, Northern Colorado, Idaho St, and hapless Portland St. UM won't get to 7-4 next year unless they get several good wins against decent teams. Thus 7-4 next season will most likely get them in the playoffs, and be much better coaching achievement than 7-4 was last season.

The ever evolving argument: bitch (not you, specifically 04) because we don’t play an all D-I schedule, then bitch because we don’t play a STRONG enough all D-I schedule...
