Seed it

I feel like Furman probably still gets a seed. No matter how bad that loss is, dropping from 2 to 9 or worse is a lot for one-loss in the FCS SoCon champs

1. South Dakota State
2. Montana
3. South Dakota
4. Albany
5. North Dakota State
6. Villanova
7. Furman
8. Montana State

Idaho put up a lot of style points but I think they get the 2021 Eastern Washington treatment and would be the first one out. While Idaho has the head to head and their loss to Montana isn't nearly as bad as the Cats, MSU's strength of schedule is probably enough to give them the edge.

Idaho played 2 FBS teams...beat one and played the other really well. MSU played Stetson and Utah Tech. I'd give the edge to Idaho for sure.

Let's be honest, South Dakota State is a much tougher opponent than either Cal or Nevada. And you can't really consider FBS games for playoff seeding

I think UT-Griz has the right perspective here. Both of their resumes are so close that I don't know how you pick which one to give the seed to if you don't give it to both of them. Either both get a seed or neither get the seed

You may be right. Does Furman really deserve a seed?

Committee has tendency to award conference winners, so I think Furman will get a seed.

As good as NDSU has been, the loss to UND could deprive them of a seed.
On the other hand, depending on how the committee views strength of schedule Albany may be the odd one out.

This seems right to me.

I could sit with this, though I'd be shocked if the committee didn't seed NDSU

The committee absolutely still sucks off NDSU and they’re out of the top 1-2 conference in the nation. I think they’ll seed them right in front of the cats. 7-8

I see Albany getting a seed and the #8 spot coming down between NDSU and the Cats. In the head to head match up I think MSU takes it due to better SoS and better losses (Blowout loss to the #3 team vs #13). Weirdly enough the bias could extend to the Cats as well, I believe they've been ranked in the Top 5 all season?

Y'all are forgetting the Wild Card, UNI. NDSU just cleaned their cleats on them in Cedar Falls, but...

So in your opinion, MSU has no chance.

I just don’t think the committee punishes teams for losses as much as we expect. Specially not from the MVFC or BSC

Losses to good or closely ranked opponents, not so much.

Losses by bad teams or a$$ whoopings absolutely get more penalized.
