There have been a couple of other good ones, but this has got to be tops, or right near it!

I know it'll upset a lot of people but I'll take a bowl over the playoffs, thank you! It is incomprehensible for me to imagine a coaching staff having to prepare for a unknown team in five days essentially and the logostics involved in getting everybody with all their equipment, etc...Hell, the former AD could not get the Cats to regular season games at least once a year on time.

Aside from everything else (discussed at length on various threads), the inroads being made on the SDSU coaching staff had to have been a distraction going into the bowl game. We (and they) knew about Hauck and Gonzalez ... and Long says he expects to lose perhaps two or three more. Sure, that sounds like an "excuse" -- but it's legit because all that chips away at your focus on practice.

Belichick isn’t likely available, so we’re going to have to go with whomever Bobby brings.

The special teams were just that & I’d agree with the supposition that there was more than enough distraction to go around this week for SDSU given that Herm Edwards came home to find replacements for the guys that blew that pop stand. Bobby’s guys were ready to go, and he could have claimed to be as distracted as anyone.

I didn’t hear anything about the postgame press conference, but would bet it didn’t include any woulda, coulda, shoulda & never seen anything like it. Pretty sure Rocky owned the loss.

I don't think I've ever seen that before. I think I've seen fumbles on the last play but a pick 6 and then the dude has nothing but open space.

You are welcome to take a bowl. Posters on egriz are usually talking about what they, fans, like, not coaches. What about NFL playoffs or ncaa basketball. Teams and coaches don't know what team they will play next, whether a week or a few days later.
