I think this tougher competition is a paper tiger. Yes the schools have changed, but so has the entire landscape of college football.
 
I don't have old man grievances that are decades long.

I have 8 years of data, get with the times old man, I am from the instant gratification age and we are 6 years past acceptable results.

I believe how far ahead MSU had gotten along with a timeline that was slowed by Covid and Portal/NIL have been the biggest factors. I think the gap is now minimal and maybe not even present, but time will tell. I won't try to tell you that Bobby probably can't do some things better, and maybe he is working on those.

Why would any coach not be confident going into a playoff game with Hauck? I think somebody said Hauck won a game against JMU? 1 game in 20 years proves the point, it doesn't support the Hauck fan bois bully agenda. He knows they beat the dog crap out of us in the NC game and will do the same thing on Saturday. I will still be there cheering on my Griz and watching my BF play. I am a realist and know whats going to happen but I am still a fan

Coach took the Griz to their first championship game appearance in his 10th year at Montana and won. If he had stayed for the 1996 season, the Griz still would have been run over by Randy Moss. Coach Glenn picked up on that success and got out when the advantage was there after losing to Georgia Southern and barely getting by Furman in a games I attended where we should have won over GSU and it should not have been close, but the talent won despite the coaching. He went on to do very little at Wyoming before taking the job at USD not long after they moved up from D-II and didn't do much there either.

Back when I was at school, we had a basketball coach named Mike Montgomery who a lot of people thought should have been fired because he couldn't get the team to the NCAA tournament. He went on to be pretty successful at Stanford and Cal but never won a championship.

It's not easy to win a championship, but Coach Hauck has won a few big games outside of that, remember Washington? Or do you choose to operate from your selective memory?

That's who he is. He was cocky before the MSU game and dismissive after. Go beat 'em.

I will be surprised and disappointed if Griz don't win. I think the SDST coach is expecting a game like they had in Bozeman. This is going to be on a whole different level. You will be very surprised and no one knows what's going to happen.
