According to this article by Kyle Sample in today's Missoulian, the MBB team recently had a scrimmage against Seattle in Spokane. The one reference in this article mentions Wright had 11 assists, but that's all the info available. Anyone have any updates on this?

It was not open to the public or the media per NCAA rules. "Secret scrimmages" as they've become to be known since the NCAA started regulating them are used by a lot of schools. Coaches can't really talk about them much and certain information can't be divulged.
DeCuire said the scrimmage against Seattle was important because the Griz got to a work on a few things, but also because there was no scout so they had little information about the Redhawks' so they had to figure out things as they developed.
Wright said he enjoyed it because Seattle has really tall, long guards so it gave him a chance to test himself against some D1 competition and that it will probably help come Friday night.

Kyle, I'm guessing since you havnt mention it, they're not allowed to say who won or what the score was?

Exactly, they're not really allowed to say much about the scrimmage at all.

Thnx. As long as coaches and players feel better prepared for the season from it, that's good enough for me.

Wow, if that's accurate, it's impressive. Seattle U isn't supposed to be great this year, but it's still a DI program in an area with a lot of very good basketball talent.

Probably gonna be a long year for them. Due to graduates and some defections, they only return about 20 pts per game and 10 of that is from one player. Their team leader last year (19 ppg) would have been a Sr but left due to personal reasons along with another would be Sr, 3 grads, and a would be So transferring out. Don't expect them to do much.
