Scrimmage Oline personnel

Where was Dylan Mayginnis? 13 OL listed on the roster and only 12 in the DOLA picture I saw it appears Dylan isn’t with them, also #64 in the picture I saw looks to be different than the 64 that suited up.

Not sure. A friend went to the scrimmage and texted me that DOLA is back! I sure hope he is right

Someone has prematurely stated this every year since Haucks return. We’ll see….

He quit. Couldn’t stand it here.

This group couldn’t see DOLA if it were a 2x4 and hit them square to the head. We are in trouble on the O-Line. I really thought this year the 1’s might be a solid group and it won’t be. The 2’s are much worse. The separation in these two groups is astounding. Although there are two spots that there isn’t much separation and that is only because the starters are average at best. LT is going to be a major problem for us. If they don’t bring in some transfer it is going to be a long season.

I think we are down to 11 offensive lineman and most are very young. Not good.

Bad year to have a marginal offensive line considering the defense we are putting on the field. Hell, even the offensive people we are putting on the field. Marcus Knight is going to have to be a miracle worker.

Our good ole buddy Chad Germer putting his mark on the program once again.

Dylan Mayginnis is listed as #77 and Ethan Barney is listed as #64 (??) on gogriz.com.

Must agree with this....number 62 could not lay a finger on Kale, let alone block him....sad imo....we have to get a lot better on the o/l in order to be legit...even if we have the skill players it takes....

Not sure this is true. I think he was injured and why he didn’t dress.

It’s not the first game yet so I’ll reserve comment until I see that. I think some of y’all like to go doom and gloom way too fast. The Spring game had a mix and match out there with not really 100 percent live play so it’s hard to gain any strong opinions one way or the other. They have all summer to keep improving plus I’m sure the coaches will look at transfer options if there are any.

Great read, thanks for posting this article, AWF! It seems coach Hauck has a different opinion of the O-line than several posters in this forum. Suggestions of “coach-speak” in 3, 2, 1…

Several? We have eyes - not all shaded in maroon. What else did you expect him to say? Guarantee they are looking for o-linemen right now. It is and has been a problem...for years.

More covering up of the obvious issues with his buddy's position group.....again. Someday after looking back he might see what could have been had he dealt with the elephant in the room. As they say a chain in only as strong as its weakest link. He better hope to win the lottery with transfers that other programs have developed or they are about one injury from a freaking disaster. Even Grady couldn't fake enthusiasm for the oline .

Really glad to read these comments, because after he lost all playing time late in the season when he fumbled a few (Big Sky games) punt returns.

" . . . . Sophomore wide receiver Aaron Fontes caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Brown and a 50-yard pass from Daniel Britt with redshirt freshman cornerback Dylan Simmons in coverage. Three plays later, Simmons got an interception in the end zone and ran it back for what was ruled a touchdown. Fontes was pushed out of bounds and ran behind the bench players to hustle for a tackle of Simmons before the end zone.
"Aaron’s doing a good job," Hauck said. "He’s doing a good job in school. He’s doing a good job in the playbook. He’s got great ability. He can really run. He does a lot of good things. I think the sky’s kind of the limit for him."

Fontes will be our next great Griz receiver…..you heard it here first. Give him another year and watch out.

True HookedonGriz! Looking like Sambrano!?! #1s looked pretty good but big drop off after that...maroon team had 2 starting on OL, white team had 3 starters I believe. Hope DM did not quit!
