Makes sense, I figured it was some kind of blown play. Looks like that has been the story so far, Falcons losing at home to the Jets is not good.

Makes sense, I figured it was some kind of blown play. Looks like that has been the story so far, Falcons losing at home to the Jets is not good.

ya the falcons have just looked terrible. I don't get it. they have a lot of talent but just haven't looked good this year. geno smith is just picking apart their defense.

in regards to the blocked punt though from my perspective it looked like just an excellent play to get to the ball and not really a mistake made by the falcons. the guy just came around the corner perfectly and made a play. and very heads-up by shann to try to make a play.

Threw a decent ball too that was caught. He did play QB in HS in fact I think he may have actually been recruited as a QB by some schools.

I think they miss Steven Jackson, the other 2 just don't have the playmaking ability of an every down back.

And remember it was Shann that denied Demetrius Crawford the end zone on the 2nd play of the game against the kitties in the throwbacks after his 80 something yard run to the one yd line? And the goal line stand that ensued?? GAME FCKING OVER!!! :thumb:

Except for the fact that Shann was completely worked over by the guy who blocked the punt. If he actually makes the block on that guy its a non issue. He needed to make a play after causing it to go so badly like that.

As a side note....

Shann was and and still is the smarted HS QB I have ever seen or coached against. Not the best, but definitely the smartest. The only thing I can compare it to is the way Peyton Manning runs an offense. Just so intelligent.

Don't forget Kroy, a couple contributing linemen, a db or 2. The injury bug has killed them this year, possibly the worst case in the NFL....going to be a long year in Atlanta.

Just saw that Julio Jones might be done for the year too. They are snakebit.

Who would have guessed that 5 weeks in Atlanta would be 1-4 and the Giants and Pittsburgh would be winless. Crazy year so far.
