In all honesty, who gives a crap.
Just and observation. It won’t matter come November 22.In all honesty, who gives a crap.
NDSUYou're absolutely right - It's likely that the Jacks won't be nearly as good as they have been the last few years. I'm just not sure that they won't even be in the top 15. I think that's kind of a stretch considering the current level of competition in the FCS as a whole.
With SDSU's schedule, I have them at a high of 7 wins and low of 6 wins with between 5 and 6 losses. 7-5 would put them out of the Top 25.
8/30 vs Sac State in Brookings, SD - win by Jacks
9/6 vs Cats (A) - loss
9/13 vs Drake (H) - win
9/27 vs MercyHurst (H) - win
10/4 vs Youngstown State (A) - loss
10/11 vs Northern Iowa (H) - win
10/18 vs Murray State (A) - win
10/25 vs NDSU (H) - loss
11/1 vs Indiana State (H) - win
11/8 vs USD (A) - loss
11/15 vs Illinois State (H) - loss
11/22 vs UND (A) - 50/50
but came up just a trash can short in the title gameSo where did I compare your schedule to ours? Here is what I stated.
"didn’t the cants have the most ridiculously unchallenging OOC schedule last year and a great line-up throughout the conference schedule which paid off for them by being unchallenged and very healthy heading into the playoffs?"
Now to back that up regarding your OOC schedule you guys played an FBS school in New Mexico (5-7) on the road and were a 13.5-point favorite in a week 0 game (which is unprecedented) who was in its first game with a new coach, then followed it up with Utah Tech (1-11) on the road, then Maine (5-7) at home, a bye, and then Stetson (2-9) at home. Your fan base was quick to say that you had your backups in for the entire second half of these games. Looks like heading into conference play you guys were pretty well rested and healthy. And Sagarin had that SOS around the 200 range after your first 4 games
Then heading into conference, you started off with ISU (5-7) and UNC (1-11), You didn't play a team with a winning --record until your 7th game of the season in 2024 (Idaho @ 10-4 on their 3rd string QB who got hurt and had to be replaced with an already injured second string QB). Then it was onto the albatross of PSU (3-8) followed by your 2nd bye. After that you got EWU (4-8) followed by Sac State (3-9).
So, let's recap that, in your first 10 games of 2024 you guys played 1 team with a winning record and had 2 byes???? But, sure every computer and objective ranking before playing UC Davis and then the Griz had you guys ranked with a grueling schedule? Like I said this schedule paid off for you guys. You went on a run as you should have and beat some good teams but came up just a trash can short in the title game. Sometimes it pays to not have a brutal schedule. Idaho was an example of that last year. Many of the years the griz have made good runs in the past have included DII teams and weak OOC schedules. Iron may sharpen Iron, but sometimes it pays to not have to take body blows before you get into the rounds that really matter.
Perhaps I can help. I believe the site you're looking for is:Since your so invested in everything at montana state and willing to give your unsolicited opinion on them, I'll give you a chance to answer this.
How do these two non-conference schedules.compare?
Montana grizzlies...
Central Washington another d-2 juggernaught on the schedule.. second d-2 team since 2023
U of north dakota rebuild mvfc team under first year head coach Eric schmidt..
Indiana state.. the mvfc version of Idaho State in the big sky.
Sacred Heart.. lol.
Now Montana state bobcats.
U of oregon. Upper level team in the Big Ten
South dakota state.. a team that should be in the top 4-5 of the mvfc teams
Mercyhurst lakers..4-7 last year playing in the Northeast conference
San Diego 8-3 in the pioneer league
btw last year san Diego played central Washington and beat them 26-7 just to give you a common team comparison.
You or someone said the Cat non-conference games would be “competitive”. Which of your games will be competitive? How much will Oregon beat the Cats by?Since your so invested in everything at montana state and willing to give your unsolicited opinion on them, I'll give you a chance to answer this.

Who gives a flying fuck it changes every year last year your bobcats had an absolute joke of a non con schedule. And actually a pretty much joke of a conference schedule. That will all change every single year, so why are you even spending a minute on it?Since you like to chirp in all things regarding the bobcats, you'll have to agree that their non-conference schedule this year is alot more competitive than the griz non conference, right?
Griz have won the last two against OSU.Added OSU to the 2026 slate.
UM has 12 games this season. Weak Zero is in August. College football teams generally don't play in Week Zero. All this talk about schedules, I think the Griz football team will be in a world of hurt coming down into late October with the brilliantly placed "bye week" in week zero. Ridiculous!
I'm a bobcat fan because I'm calling out certain posters who like to blister Montana State's non-conference schedule from last year, you included till their blue in the face..?Who gives a flying fuck it changes every year last year your bobcats had an absolute joke of a non con schedule. Our bye week is week one which is on September 6. Technically the Griz don't start their season until week 2 which is September 13. So every team in the Big Sky will have played at least one gamebefore the Griz even start.UM has 12 games this season. Weak Zero is in August. College football teams generally don't play in Week Zero.
"In the 2025 college football season, 8 Division I games are scheduled for Week 0, which is on Saturday, August 23rd, according to HERO Sports. Four of these games will be FCS vs. FCS, and four will be FBS vs. FBS, according to HERO Sports."
I wonder if the bye week is not Week Zero, and is another later weekend in late August.
UM has 2 bye weeks in 2026.
"Guys, I swear I'm a Griz fan, I just cry and piss my pants every time someone says anything bad about them and never have anything good to say about the Griz, please believe me as I continue to glaze the shit out of them."I'm a bobcat fan because I'm calling out certain posters who like to blister Montana State's non-conference schedule from last year, you included till their blue in the face..?
Then you are are perfectly fine with Montana scheduling TWO differant d-2 football teams in the last three years...
If you have a problem with people talking avout it take it up with raniergriz, he started the thread..
