Me too. My college teammate is at the game. His son was a good kicker for ASU during Pluimer years. My buddy played all 4 years, and was never better than a 3d team linebacker. The 3d team D wore light blue pullovers in practice and were known as the Sky Pilots. Obviously, he loved the game and played for the right reasons.

Well between Scattabo and Jeanty he sure had a much better showing in the playoff game... quite a performance!

I bet he’s kicking himself, though. If he stayed at SAC, they might’ve had a chance in the FCS playoffs (real, meaningful FB).

We're kind of like High-A or AA (in terms of level, not in terms of logistics). I think of FBS as three tiers. Elite (often in the mix), Mid (sometimes in the mix), and Low (never gonna sniff it). So, to form the analogy, The Show, AAA, AA.

FCS Elite is probably on par with FBS-low (AA) in many ways right now. At UM, if we remain at the FCS level (AA/High-A), we need to embrace where we stand and try to use it to our advantage.

Probably time for fans such as myself to accept our FCS status. Unless NCAA changes force us to decide otherwise, UM doesn’t have the will or money to move up.
