Scats Vs. Suc

Couldn't get much worse for the sCats right now. 7 Straight losses capped by a loss at home to Suc St.

Furious rally by the boobs there at the end, nice try. Haven't seen that many airballs by a team in quite a while.

The cats have fallen on some seriously hard times. Isn't that like Sac's first road win in 15 games?

Wow.

It's good that the GRIZ were able to get the scats headed in the right direction! 0-7

This begs the question: How safe is Huse at this point? I always liked him as a coach and even felt as near as two years ago that the Cats got the better of the Tinkle/Huse deal.

I never thought Huse was the better coach or recruiter.... where are all the Huse leg humpers now? :thumb:

I watched the last half of the game. Sac State played surprisingly well. They could surprise some teams if they make it into the tourney.

I watched the game on Altitude. They have lost their cohesiveness and will. Other than Howard, they played scared. The guards were not taking it to the hole. They were not mixing it up with the same passion as we normally see them. They were forcing shots to no end. They looked ugly against Idaho State and Sacramento State.

Howard was the only SR playing like he wanted it. Rush and Piepoli (sp?) were very timid. Tre Johnson was playing his ASS off too. That kid is fun to watch crash the boards. Rod Singleton has much more talent than he plays to right now. Since his sprained ankle, he has not been taking the ball to the hole. Hell, he wasn't even looking to score against Sac State.

I do not know what it is, but this team is not playing like a Huse coached team. Their confidence is gone, as is their desire to do something about it. I think this is the 1st Cat team Huse has somehow managed to lose control of.

One positive though, the Cats look much better playing full court pressure defense. Maybe it is time to do that more, and reduce Cody Anderson's minutes. The guy needs new knees, they are shot. Get some more time and experience for the young guys. There is some good young talent there.

For their sake, I hope Rush again shows up with some passion. He looked like a guy ready to get his SR year over, and just going through the motions. Very similar to a certain GRIZ a few years back. Maybe he had an off game, and let it get to him. I sure hope that was the case, because Rush was not anywhere near the player I have seen in the past.

Good luck to the Cats turning this thing back around. It would be nice to see a competitive Cat team go into the BSC tourney.
