Right ankle, same one he hurt in Frisco. The way he runs/is forced to run, he will not last a season... ever.

Not only that. They bring in chambers and use Mellott to run across formation to fake the handoff. Only thing is it’s a free shot for the defense on him.

They ran that 3-4 times and Tommy got absolutely drilled each time. No reason for them to have him in that position on that play. Completely stupid.

From when I watched the replay, chambers was a good 1/2 yard to a yard beyond the LOS, and I think they determined the receiver didn’t fully get possession till he was out. But besides all that, MSU couldn’t score a damn TD from the 2 yard line if their lives depended on it. They tried the same damn designed run like 3 times and had to settle for a field goal. One thing is clear, they DO NOT have the capability to throw the ball against an equal or superior opponent. They rely on Mellott and Chambers to run. And now with Mellott questionable, their season is really on edge now.
