Saylor's hands

sure he would be the first to say he should have caught the pass, because he should have,,,it was not too long, the replay clearly did show that he dropped it, plan and simple, it was right on the money...no excuses!

I was sitting right next to the play. It was a catch that should be made 90% of time. Posters should stop making excuses for a perfectly-thrown pass that should be caught.
Hmmm. You've said McKinney was incapable of throwing a perfectly-thrown pass that far downfield, so how could it be?

As anyone else in the NW endzone can attest, that would of been a pretty amazing catch. It's disapointing he didn't catch it, but I'm not going to start throwing him under the bus for it

True it was about 6-8" in front of him

It hit him right in the hands. He'll see that one in his dreams for a while.

Care to comment on the photo??

tgriz is right. The ball hit him right in the hands and then bounced forward. As the ball bounced forward, then the photo was taken. Didn't you DVR the game Hammer? ;) That being said, Saylor will have plenty of chances to redeem himself just like Bagley did. We don't remember Bagley's few flub ups, but his great catch against EWU.

^ This. It did bounce forward after it hit him in the hands.

Still...people really need to lay off the kid. He had a drop..big fuckin deal. As granitegriz and others have said we've had some damn good receivers who had a few drops every now and then. It happens.

And seriously...if Growler was "sitting right next to the play" as he claims he was, don't you think the stench would've distracted Saylor a bit too?

A shame Mitch dropped a tough, but catchable pass. I do think he will be a fantastic receiver for the Griz! We have a very young, but deep and fast receiving corp. Hope we get to go vertical a little more with these guys.

Nevermimd that old man pickle wasn't at any practices save one or two this year.... Yeah he's the authority on Saylor, lol.

Being at one time a pass receiver myself, seeing the pass as it was: receiver beyond the defenders, daylight in front of him, that was a very catchable pass. All he had to do was stretch out for it. aka Raymond Berry. Very easy...

If I was the QB I'd have taken him to the side right afterwards and have told him:.."I'm going to keep on throwing that ball there until you get it; I ain't goin' to throw to you at any other time in a game until you do catch it. That's going to be our bread-n-butter over the next three years so you better listen up. Get the message?"

Jesus, people. It was ONE f***[*] PASS!!!

Come on AZ - one pass makes or breaks your whole season/career/stature on egriz. I remember this total bum of a WR that dropped one pass, he even fumbled a punt another time... I've almost forgotten his name since I just assumed he sucked so bad from a small handful of errors. Trying to remember his name... uh... eastern Montana kid... wore a jersey with a number somewhere in the 80's on it... It was like Mark or Marc something, can't recall.

Well whoever it was he sucked because he dropped that one pass and fumbled a punt once.

And then he goes and breaks his leg. Embarrassing.

And he managed to hold onto the ball this time. Jeez, he must suck!

So you're saying Saylor is the next MM. As someone once said, "That's bold talk for a one eyed fat man."

Well they've both dropped passes so they're similar there. Fortunately for G1 they are both white so they have that redeeming quality in his eyes.

I called our governor asking him to official disown Marc as a former resident of our state once I heard of this. These kind of errors are simply not acceptable at our level of play.

While at it can you get Chase disown'd as well? He did drop that ball on three against the cats you know.
