Sayeed Pridgett or Kareem Jamar?

Pridgett for his versatility and consistent ability to make his teammates better. That is a very hard to find ability, very few players possess it. I honestly feel, Jamar, Cherry, and Rorie had the potential to consistently do it, but very seldom did they utilize it. Jamar and Cherry fed off each other, and really didn't need to do it. Rorie was more about scoring than setting up teammates.

I'm confident, if asked to, Pridgett could average 7+ assists per game. His court awareness is among the best I've watched. I challenge anyone to pay close attention to how many points Pridgett is responsible for, contributes to every game, then watch any other college game, not many players can do what he does. His versatility and awareness are off the charts. If he can improve his perimeter shooting consistency, he just could surprise many, and make the league.

Sayeed is 1 of the few players that doesn't need to score to have a major impact on a game. For the sake of Sayeed's future, I hope the GRIZ make the NCAA tournament. He is ready to be a break out player on the national stage. I didn't even think a second on this question. My answer was immediately, Sayeed.

If I were to pick an alltime GRIZ team, he'd be on that team of 10, along with Michael Ray, LK, Qvale, Cherry, Jamar, Anthony Johnson, Tinkle, Breunig, and Rorie. I'd take Sayeed #2 or #3, only behind Michael Ray and possibly LK. Yes, I know I left out a lot of all time great GRIZ, but this is just my opinion.

Almost every game, Sayeed leads the team in scoring, rebounding, and assists. He never has a letdown especially when we play a power conference team. That’s when he plays his best. He’s always coaching on the floor, and holds his teammates accountable. He’s a Griz “all-timer” without any doubt. Kareem May be a better pure shooter, but I think Sayeed is true leader

On their own, who would I build a team around? Sayeed Pridgett. But if I already had a Will Cherry at my disposal I would probably opt for Jamar.

Pridgett is the better leader and all around player, but Kareem is the more polished scorer and more physical athlete.

Ever so slight edge to Pridgett for what he's done this year when he hasn't had a sidekick as good as Cherry. But you could debate the subject until the cows come home, 2 of the best ever.

Kareem wasn't consistently versatile? 4th in all time in points and assists while adding 5.5 boards/game, literally one of the most versatile players in program history. And Kareem and Will went 34-2 in the Big Sky over a two year stretch (with Will missing 3 conference games!), how much better could they have made their teammates? The 2012 team really only had a 6 man rotation and they dominated a Damian Lillard team twice in the span of one week to sweep the Big Sky regular season and tournament championships! Then they came back and dominated again with a totally different supporting cast!

Everything you said about Sayeed's versatility and court vision is true, and he's an extraordinary player having an extraordinary season, but all those strengths are pretty true for Kareem.

The main reason he reminds me of Jamar is they both have such great body control, like you see player fly towards the hoop and end up out of control because the get going to fast, but Jamar and Pridgett both strong yet calm like LaVeon Bell style of running. A lot of the time when it I think shoot it hurry before you get blocked they make the extra little move or hesitation showing that the game is moving very slow for them.
That said Jamar was actually a bit ground bound and not as fast as Pridgett and that would show up against high level athletic competition,.. probably because Pridgett is slimmer but I dont think Pridgett losing anything on the inside game to Jamar because of his smaller size. Both have solid mid range jumpers and both can get on a streak from 3 but not great long range, Jamar more consistent though.

Pridgett just by a little bit because of athleticism and probably the level it takes to be THE GUY on a Griz team has risen.

Jamar had more of a role his 1st 2 years. Therefore got an earlier start building his resume. Pridgett didn't need to be a top producer until his jr year. Credit to each for terrific careers. For me, Pridgett is my choice. That's no slight on Jamar. To me, Pridgett stands out more, especially this season.

Who had the better overall career? Numbers wise, Jamar. Who shined more as upperclassmen? Pridgett, in my opinion. Keep in mind, almost half of Pridgett's career he was the 4th option, behind Rorie, Oguine, and Akoh. Jamar had the luxury of being featured more earlier. Also Jamar was a solid defender. Pridgett is a better defender. Jamar didn't have to defend all 5 positions, as Sayeed has.

In my opinion, if I had to choose one, it is Sayeed.

I've got not problem with Sayeed > Kareem, they're both excellent and it's extremely close. Personally I don't think I can come to decision one way or the other, but that's not what my issue was, it was about the logic to get to that conclusion.
