Define legit? For me, I think he gets an opportunity. At worse, he'll be evaluated. I expect him to have a tryout, or a few. His Sr year will determine a lot.

I don't know more than you but I always have an opinion!

There's only one position he could play in the NBA: Point guard. Remember, he was a point guard in high school.

I had suggested earlier that if we really wanted to prepare him for an NBA career, we'd shift him to the point next year. He'd be very good posting up smaller guards. He could work on his outside shot, which is a must for an NBA point guard, and on his handle. Then I think he might have a chance.

Problem is, without a competent corps of big men, he's forced to play inside, where he's developed some sweet moves around the basket. But if Anderson or any of the other bigs develop; Carter-Hollinger can help out inside, and Tony Miller is as good as advertised, I'd love to see Sayeed at the point next year.

In many ways, we could have more versatility next year than this.

He will definitely be playing professional basketball somewhere. As well as Oguine, Rorie, and probably Akoh. I can’t wait to have Sayeed be “the guy” next year and leader of the team, although it seems he might already be that guy this year. What a player

Thanks mtgrizrule and citay for the insights! I am hoping that he can be a UM guy I can cheer for in the NBA for years.

Given the way he has shot this past month he could, given the right circumstance, be a 2 guard in the NBA. His ability to score from virtually any point around the key perimeter as well as drive, and play defense give him the requisite skills for that position. I actually think he may have a better shot as a shooting guard in the league. While I know he played point in high school, I don't think his ball handling at this stage is good enough for PG. Not that it's bad, just not NBA caliber yet. But he has a year to work on it. Thank God!!
