Alright, so at the MT Football HOF Banquet, I met a woman who played volleyball for the Griz and now owns a successful burger joint in Bozeman. I introduced myself after realizing we were soul sisters by hearing her chant the following:

"SAY WHO...SAY WHO? SAY WHO SAY THE GRIZ AIN'T A BAD MUTHAFUCKA...." several times.

She explained that Joe Glenn used to have the football players chant that in the tunnel before running out onto the field at the beginning of a game. She told me that the volleyball team stole it. They would have a pep talk, then turn out the lights to meditate. Then, one player would begin, "Say who...." and they would all get goose bumps....they would chant the football chant.

Anyone remember this? Former players?

My high school football team had that same chant. . We learned it from one of my teammate's brother who actually played at University of Oregon where they did it there. We thought we were cool that we could swear and not get yelled at

I remember this, my Dad I were in the tunnel once when Joe Glenn coached, it was against Weber State.

I wasn't a player when Glen was here, much earlier in 1970. But I love this story and the chant! Griz 8-3 and BSC Champs in 2018. "DOMINATE BABY! "We are Montana"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This chant was done in the first Hauck era as well when I played 05-08. Hopefully it is still going on today..
