Wow, I forgot about that part of Oat's awkward press conference! Even as a Cat fan, you have to admit, that was a bit douchey. It's like if Stitt said we are about Greatness, Resiliency, Integrity, and Zebras.

Zebras???

Oh right, BECAUSE YOU PAY THEM OFF ;)

What? I suppose that is easier than paying to run away from a tough game.

In all seriousness, I really hope that aspect of Cat football is over with CoachOat. Enough people nationwide think there is only one University in Montana, and UM definitely doesn't need MSU running away from challenges like a bunch of pussies. Time will tell, but I'm hopeful this guy isn't another Ron Ash.

I don't get the impression he's "soft", not by a long shot.

He may not be soft (he isn't), but that is what is going to make knocking his d!ck in the dirt (football expression) even more satisfying.

Beating Ash was no fun, he was too soft.

They will probably extend their record for preseason conference championships by the end of spring camp. Nobody, and I mean nobody, can win a preseason BSC title like the spring camp Cats. It's a dynasty.

Don't they have more spring titles than UNDSU has titles?

The Stitt show.... It's about to crash and burn.

You know as well as I do that your defense kept you in your games and the offense didn't have a run game and relied to much on Jones deep receptions to move the ball.

Ya ya, he beat the Cats, but really, the Cats had them pretty bottled up except the deep balls to Jones, Roberts, and Henderson.

Deep pass isn't an effective and balanced offense and once these players leave (this year), it's tough sledding going forward.

Now your best coach not only left, but went to the freaking Cats?!?!?! [emoji23][emoji106]

Crash and burn coming up.

Meh, I think most people, even Cat fans, know he was an average coordinator at a well above average program. Now he's headed to an average program to hopefully make its well below average defense average.

Both the Griz and the Cats defense got better because of this..

:thumb: Brief, and very well put.

Given that the 'scats D had nowhere to go but UP, that's a pretty bold statement.

LTCF now realizes that pot meets kettle. I mean criminal record and all. Just saying.

No way. They are classy. Class rules the day, and they would never do anything to tarnish the local classy reputation the MSU Cats enjoy throughout all of Meagher County.

In fact they are so classy that perhaps heretofore we should refer to them as "classholes."

Yes. 6 to 3.

Now please remove my wife's photo from your avatar. I don't know how you got that, but please remove it. I find it distracting.

Minimizing at it's best. Montana is known for a stingy aggressive defense. Gregorak had a HUGE role in making that happen at UM for the past decade.

After reading through the drivel in the latter part of this thread I went back and googled up everything I could find on Bob Stitt. I came away more convinced and comfortable than ever that here we have a guy who is very intense, very committed and very capable. We may question the tough discussions he makes but remember this is his team, his career and his blank slate so to speak. I like the energy and enthusiasm he brings. He knows what he needs and he is out there putting it together.

Just goes to show how far this team dropped after Hauck had left and where we need to go to get back there, and even past that level.

A metaphor for November in 'Cat land?

Crash and burn2- coming up.

Only Jones leaves (this year).

And we are putting on the field even more speed next year. Dalton Daum, the rare two-time Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year and even more rare back-to-back 100 and 200 meter class AA state sprint champion, is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. He blew away one of your current starting kitty cornerbacks in high school sprints, I can't wait for him to do it again on a college football field. TALK ABOUT CRASH AND BURN2 :!: :!: :!:

No running game?

RUSHING No. Gain Loss Net TD Lg Avg.
John Nguyen 27 138 4 134 0 48 5.0

Only deep passing game?

RECEIVING No. Yds TD Lg
Jamaal Jones 9 132 3 54
Josh Horner 5 58 0 17
Ellis Henderson 3 91 1 49
Ben Roberts 3 48 0 23
Keenan Curran 1 15 0 15
John Nguyen 1 7 0 7
Jeremy Calhoun 1 2 0 2

Jamaal Jones's OTHER 8 passes were for 78 yards, not quite a 10 yard average.
Josh Horner's OTHER 4 passes were for 41 yards, right at a 10 yard average.
Ellis Henderson's OTHER two passes were for 42 yards
Ben Roberts OTHER two passes were for 25 yards

Pretty funny though. First pass Jones caught? A TD. First pass Henderson caught? A TD.

The only thing that "bottled up" the Griz offense was Stitt deciding to go conservative with a 22 point lead. I swear, 'scat fans can justify anything in their own minds.
