Sat: UM @ Weber State

Speaking of bigs on the outside. Hasquet's outside shot is struggling again. I have seen enough. Please put his ass inside to score and rebound!!!!!!!!!!!11

Nice crowd

No wonder Tinks can recruit the better players that fly under the WAC/MTN West radar. Johnson is being Johnson
Still have the tallest people in the conference jacking up 3's..

All the people who thought Stockton is ready to Fill CET's shoes are crazy. His ball handling is shaky, blowing layups and very weak defensively. Look forward to good thins from him as a jr/sr

It's a lot closer at 30-23 than I thought it would be at this point.

And what a $hatty picture on BigSkyTV...way too dark.

A few things as a coach that piss me off that I hope gets fixed ASAP.

(1) I have seen enough of our bigs (Hasquet and Selvig) settling 3's. I do not mind an occasional 3, but when you are struggling from there and are their size, GO INSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(2) If you cannot hit a regular jumper consistently. Why shoot the fadeaway? (McGillis) It is amazing how well he positions himself to score, but it is wasted due to him shooting a fadeaway. DRAW the foul Jack when you have the position!!!!!!! The only guy good enough on this team to be shooting fadeaways is AJ. I do not want to see one more fadeaway from anyone but him.

(3) Can we try running an offense with some continuity? Us executing a set has been a rarity this game. Move the ball quickly, and if we are to penetrate clear out for that player!!!!!!! It is a cluttered mess when anyone penetrates. Spacing, spacing, spacing. After Stauds and Hasquet missed a few perimeter shots, we lost offensive focus.

Comeon guys, we are better than this. As I type this I heard the Weber State announcers say on Bigskytv. "Montana is not very good for being so talented." Whoelse heard that?

This is so frustrating, I only coach AAU ball and I can see what the problems are. Whoelse sees what I see or things I do not see? Please add to this.

Normally I listen to Mick, but am sticking with Weber State audio. These guys are homers too, but they are actually giving some good insightful observations about the GRIZ! By the way, most of which I agree with.

I see a horrible shooting selection...shooting percentage..up 9-2 and shots just won't drop,,any body on this ballclub that can take over? bigs,,we have 'em but they they play the 3?

Could someone please remind Hasquet that post players generally get their points inside? Not chucking up three pointers and long jumpers all game? He's shooting 25% from three point range in conference (before this game) and about 40% from the field (which isn't very good for a post player really). Due to some of our posts deciding that they are shooting guards, we also only have 1 offensive rebound this game.. and that was by McGillis.

Very frustrating...since you know that if Hasquet played inside like a true post, he could probably average close to a double double and have a high shooting % like Strait did. Occasionally we get to see what Hasquet is capable of inside....but that doesn't happen very often anymore.

their commentary as well as yours is spot on. we are not very good for how talented we are.

talented? I am done with that,,heard it too much,,,no longer blaming just Wayne,,25 points after 25 minutes??? Again I only have coached JV but this is talent? I have seen more at a 3-3 tourney in downtown Spokane mid summer,,,

Weber State is playing alot of man. We are struggling to get points inside. Why not post up on their little guy? It is a mismatch and forces Rahe's hand. Comeon Tinkle get creative. Any of our Guards can post up McCoy all night.

No one says this until once we start playing terrible. There's plenty of blame to go around but you're wrong if you think is playing up to their talent level.

Offensively, it is more than just shots not falling. We have 0 (ZERO) desire to even run an offense with more than 3 passes.

A long way to go with this team, who has always claimed a high degree of talent. People not knowing or playing to their roles...or don't understand them...who's fault is that...down by 10-16 with most of the 2nd half to play...not good

YES, I am very pissed and disappointed. Not because we are losing, but how we are playing. This team needs a serious makeover on how they do things. It starts with working the ball inside with as many passes as it takes. The man inside has to be Hasquet. If we cannot find consistency soon this year. We might as well let our youth learn. I doubt they could do worse.

A few of our regulars need their heads deflated and a swift kick to the butt!!!!!

IF that means minutes for Hurley, Stockton, and Selvig, so be it. It is past time to make a statement of do or die for a few of our regulars. In my opinion a few them have lost the right of having so many minutes. I will be the 1st to applaud when/if Hasquet is benched or forced to play nothing but the paint.

I agree with those who observe taht the Griz have plenty of talent, but they just aren't taking advantage of it. As others have pointed out, how many times have they come down and thrown up bombs with just a pass or 2, or none at all. If someone asked me, I'd have a hard time telling them what kind of offensive plays MT has. Mick just said Weber outscored the Griz in the paint 22-8. I've gotten the impression in past games that Hasquet was told to play in the paint at half-time, after he spent the first half bombing away from beyond the 3 point line. Like the Idaho St game. But then the very next game he reverts to his old tricks. I don't get it. Does Tinkle have no control over his team at all?
