Oh for crying out loud. Kramer is NOT a coddler. The kid had bad habits and Kramer tried to coach him out of them. The kid thought he knew better so Kramer tried to break him of the habits. The kid still thinks he knows better, so he's gone. At some point, the kid has to learn to play by the rules and stop being boneheaded.

Classic "bully coach" technique: pick a kid, bully the shit out of him, treat him differently than other players, make an "example" out of him....Kramer is a fucking asshole, I've said it since day one. How he got past the push/punch episode in 2012 is beyond me----just shows how horribly desperate the Bungles were at the time. Honestly, if the Griz had hired him I'd have stopped being a fan until he was gone.

I totally agree with your main thought, but good luck finding enough modern 18-year-olds who can take someone yelling at them/bullying them to field a team. There is a reason Bobby Knight doesn't coach anymore and Coach K does. If you can't evolve with the kids (like them or not), it's time to hang up the ol' whistle.

The problem with Kramer is he's such a tool that he wouldn't be very good in the booth. He'd be a pretty good HS vice principal.

Well Alpha, I watched a baseball coach use the EXACT SAME TECHNIQUE on a kid in high school. Only that kid was my son--and it was everything in my POWER not to beat the living fuck out of said coach, who's behavior was acknowledged and condoned by the school administration. So, I won't apologize for having a very short leash for fuckstick neanderthals like Kramer.

The method he uses has very short term results and very LONG term consequences.

Kramer started to rough up one of his players when the Griz played ISU. Then he noticed the TV camera pointed at him, and he looked like a scared little girl.
