San Diego State Coach Retiring

In an interview this week with MTN Sports, Montana athletic director Kent Haslam said there have been no conversations between the parties. According to the AD, no contract offer has been made; no overtures have been exchanged. Even during the previous offseason.

Interesting. PR has insisted there's been a contract offer/extension on Bobby's desk this entire season. Not according to Haslam...

Bobby turned down SDSU several years ago and the guy retiring was their second choice. Unless it’s an NFL offer, Bobby’s not leaving.

Well, we’re safe for now. SDSU hired Colorado’s OC as their new HC…

That's a terrible hire considering who some of the other rumored candidates were. Ryan Grubb, the OC at Washington was rumored to be a finalist for that job, and he's been the top coordinator in the country over the last 2 years. Alabama wanted to hire him last year as their OC. Instead, they hired the guy that got relieved of his play calling duties at Colorado

I think it is more likely that most the rumored finalist were just that...rumored. Even if Grubb was in the running, I think it most likely that he turned them down. Also, how did Colorado fare after the change on offense?

... and still there are plenty over here who take everything he says as gospel and defends him until the end,

The guy has an agenda and attacks anyone who slightly disagrees with him..
