Sammy Akem Video -- How Can Montana Use Michael Wortham?

I wonder if they would line him up like an H-back to run that wheel route with Gilman as the setback, kind of zone read or counter option even maybe. Also, would like to see him run the end around like Bergen and Flowers did. All that speed looks exciting to spread the defense and open things up even more for Gilman. Dude is a weapon for sure!

I'll take that bet. You can't be serious. You're saying you're going to reinvent this offense for what would be a Kordell "Slash" Stewart throw back. That would never work. He needs to be utilized in this offense to make the opposing defense accountable. You don't overuse that, or it loses its effectiveness. He threw the ball all of 9 times in 2024 and the offense we run is a balance between pass and run.
Let's not take a highlight video and overestimate the value. There are no more than two plays he has in that segment against any one team and if you try to run those things too many times, the defense will adjust.
He is NOT a QB though and the man says it himself. If he's starting at quarterback, the season is over and we will be basement dwellers.
 
I've been wanting for years, for the GRIZ to run a few triple option sets. Please Bobby, pull this off with Worthham at qb.
