all you anti-Stitt guys have won me over...looking forward to another 2.5 seasons of mediocrity...I mean if he can't win now with a below average OL and maybe barely average QB and no RB ready to do everything necessary within the offense, the guy will never win....
I am not anti-Stitt -- I just do not believe the Grizzlies should have lost to Weber State on Saturday. In light of what the team faces in coming weeks, the difference between being 4-2 and being 3-3 is significant. Missing the playoffs at CSM was no big deal, but it is here. Stitt should adjust his offensive strategy to give this team the best chance to win when opportunities arise, especially with a third-string QB coming in during the second half down seven points.

Goat, this was always a 6-7 win team...just so many didn't want to admit it...the loss won't really matter, this team was/is not a playoff team and definitely not a contender

Four FGs yesterday. FGs were the cushion when the game was 37-22, Cats were building momentum, and the zebras blew the roughing call on Lider. Yeah, only a 7 win team but definitely a playoff team and (maybe) a contender without the stubborn approach to going for it on fourth down. The Weber loss nearly cost the Griz a home playoff game next Saturday.

Yeah, we hired "gimmick Bob" Stitt because of his supposed offensive genius and unfettered bravado in moving up to FCS football and showing us how the Division II boys do it! After he cost us two losses, an undefeated conference record, and home field advantage throughout the playoffs, I guess he finally figured out that his Stitt didn't work up here. Maybe that's why no other head coach in FCS or FBS football tries that stupid Stitt!

Stanley, I not once mentioned dropping football. I asked Soldier a question in reference to several things he has posted...nothing more. Cameo gets it, although I wouldn't want to lose every game. Why is JN not the answer, because he does not pass block well enough...not a difficult thing to see. As for Stitt, it has been six games with 3 different QB's...guess that is enough for several of you, but I am not that quick to judge.

As for Stitt, I think he rolls the dice too often, but he is also working with parts that don't fit what he wants to do. Thinking he should be replaced already is dumb.

But keep up the good work Stanley...you are doing f***[*] awesome....

Box, Nguyen is a very good pass blocker and the best UM has. This is directly from Stitt, so please don't further embarrass yourself and dispute it.

Sounds like coach speak to me if he did say any such thing. If you take the time to watch, when he is asked to pass block it is sub-optimal. He may very well be the best UM has...but that is not saying much, as none of them excel. I will fully note that the interior line struggles in pass pro also, but in this offense the back needs to be a very good blocker....and currently that guy is not showing up on this roster. Of course, I did not see you go out on a limb and give your perspective...

Actually, it shows that you don't know what you're talking about. In talking to a group of supporters recently , Stitt affirmatively said this and supported it with video. It was not in response to a question. Perhaps you are the one who should watch the game more closely and do your homework. Jeez, I suppose you think the sun rises in the west too.

While you and your big shot "supporters" were listening to Stitt's coach-speak, did you tell him that you tried hard to get Hauck re-hired, and slammed the Stitt hiring on this board, only to pander to him now that you have no other big shot options?

If Bob Stitt lost us the Weber game, then he also won us the NDSU game. I think he's a great coach and at this point we should all feel pretty good about the season. Stitt is just getting started - next year is going to be even more fun, and I can't wait to see what we do in the playoffs this year!

you are correct...many egrizzers don't like the truth and lack objectivity when it isn't a positive spin...but they hate it even more when you present it in a condescending form of douchebaggery......we will see how you like the truth....

The D has saved his ars this year and most of that crew is gone next year. So how much fun next year remains to be seen.

Guys like Ryan Johnson, Tucker Schye, Conner Strahm, Buss, Parker, McKinley, Bradley, Davis, etc., etc., etc. got a LOT of playing time this year....and there wasn't a one of them that I felt was overmatched. I look forward to next year's D.

Since no one else has to replace Seniors...I would guess they are in trouble....

I don't participate in popularity contests. I'll leave that for insecure posters who need to be liked to try to gain respect for being such homers. There are Griz fans who actually appreciate objectivity, even though very few waste their time posting here.

The CPSLO and Weber games are valid points. Not so PSU; that was a thorough ars-kicking. Hard to blame Stitt for the limitations of the 3rd string QB and an off-day for the D.

You are 100% correct, but don't burst their bubble as they ride this great win against a pathetic MSU team for the next week. We lose 9 starters on defense, including our best 4 players (Holmes, Van Ak, Harris, Kose), and the guys who will replace them will either be average at best, or young and inexperienced.

No doubt re the NDSU game, and I thought employing a similar strategy against Cal Poly was just fine (even though the Griz lost). I still believe coaching decisions resulted in a loss to Weber State in a very different situation, and I am pleased that the strategy on FGs seems to have evolved. But for incredible luck (which always counts, too) at the end of the game in Pocatello, the Weber State loss would have resulted in many of us doing something else next Saturday -- instead of cheering at the stadium in Missoula. I think Stitt is a good coach and I am glad UM hired him. The Griz could have won more games this year, particularly if the coaching philosophy on FGs had evolved more quickly, and I am happy it did ultimately evolve. Besides, I hate the idea of losing to Weber State at home the way it played out. I am pleased that the Griz are hosting a playoff game despite the Weber loss. Next year? Who knows? I am just going to enjoy Saturday, and wish that Mariani had one more game of eligibility.
