So you admit we have taken a step back and Stitt is on pace with Mick who you say is far from a savant. Hmmm.

If talent at QB (like third-string entering the game in the second half, while behind) and OL are the issue, attempt FGs so you can have a chance to win everything you can. Bumps in the road are expected, and gunslingers will take a few slugs, but winning this game did not require "Stitt to waiver from his system for a little short term success." No way.
They had a chance to win the game even w/o the FG attempts....think about it....

but I did not agree with his attempt to go for it at the end of the Poly game...

This individual considers ANY criticism of Griz coach Stitt as pre-mature, unecessary and dis-loyal.
Ironically if coach Stitt subscribed to this particular individuals coaching philosophy, Stitt would disregard any criticism from his assistants as unecessary and disloyal. The coach would re-coil from criticising Griz players, ignore their sub-par performance and assure them that 2016's won-loss record is more important than this years.
The towering intellect that dominated this subject refuses to understand that COACHING requires CRITICISM and that criticism is essential for minimizing mistakes and improving performance. Those of us that have played football beyong the HS level understand the two "C"'s are inseperable.
The omnipotent teddy bear believes criticism of the new Griz football coach means all critics are convinced he's hopeless and want him replaced. Twisted.

Good coaches would take the points and I am sure Bohl and your current coach would too. It is BASIC football strategy. As they say, it is football 101. Stitt must have skipped that class.

NDSU takes the Field Goals and even punts 9 times out of 10 over going for it. its just playing the percentages & getting points and putting pressure on the other team.

Sometimes that works, and sometimes......well you know.
grizindabox said:Stanley, I not once mentioned dropping football. I asked Soldier a question in reference to several things he has posted...nothing more. Cameo gets it, although I wouldn't want to lose every game. Why is JN not the answer, because he does not pass block well enough...not a difficult thing to see. As for Stitt, it has been six games with 3 different QB's...guess that is enough for several of you, but I am not that quick to judge.
As for Stitt, I think he rolls the dice too often, but he is also working with parts that don't fit what he wants to do. Thinking he should be replaced already is dumb.
But keep up the good work Stanley...you are doing f***[*] awesome....

Box, Nguyen is a very good pass blocker and the best UM has. This is directly from Stitt, so please don't further embarrass yourself and dispute it.

Sounds like coach speak to me if he did say any such thing. If you take the time to watch, when he is asked to pass block it is sub-optimal. He may very well be the best UM has...but that is not saying much, as none of them excel. I will fully note that the interior line struggles in pass pro also, but in this offense the back needs to be a very good blocker....and currently that guy is not showing up on this roster. Of course, I did not see you go out on a limb and give your perspective...

Definitely a great strategy for the Bison over the last 4 years. Extraordinary defense, and a ball control offense that makes very few mistakes. The Bison didn't need a lot of points to win in the four years on average

When he was asked about his philosophy about going for it on 4th down his comment was, "get used to it."
