Carroll brings more fans than PSU
I'd wager good money that will be a fact.

saints and griz both travel well. i'm hoping some of you doubters are back in september with a congrats regarding the saints effort in Portland.... PSU 20 Carroll 14 it will be a fairly low scoring affair.....

Pathetic is the fact that you don't care about the Griz but want us to care deeply about NAIA football. Do you see the non sequitur?

actually i came on to defend Carroll football - i dont give two squats if griz fans care about NAIA football - there is a difference..... we'll all find out Sept 1 if Carroll football is up to the challenge.....

If you don't care if Griz fans care about NAIA football, what did your "pathetic" comment refer to? I think you are being a little disingenuous.

Shame on all Griz fans who feel threatened by the success of an NAIA team.

Please don't mistake my complete and utter apathy for Frontier Conference athletics as feeling threatened. I just don't care, and I never will. But I don't have any problem whatsoever with other people being interested in it.

Funny...I remember some Griz fans getting their panties in a wad after similar remarks were made by Tennessee fans....just sayin... 8-)

Will you be back though to admit you were wrong if it turns out like most of us expect and Carroll loses something like 49-10 with it being well over by the end of the first half?

Same guys dismiss teams like Western Oregon. Very hypocritical

Saints and their staff will, as usual, get more out the team than the nay sayers can imagine. Things may get tough in the late going as the scholarship numbers take their toll, much like when a team from our division plays way up. Dont underestimate MVD and the quality of the players and program to be more than respectable. We should be rooting rather than demeaning.

You can bet the Polson Bay Bandits will be rooting for the Saints; after all Pilch is one of them.

carroll won't get blown out. psu beat d3 willamette 36-10. psu loses kavanaugh and mccaffery. carroll is much, much better than willamette. psu is always cocky and unfocused. carroll is grounded. psu 27, cc 17.

PSU is never is as good as they should be given all of the positives they have in their favor. Nobody in Oregon cares about PSU and most of the time it appears that even PSU doesn't care about PSU. Put the kind of focus and energy the Griz have into PSU and they'd be knocking on the PAC-(XX)'s door in a few years. I don't think it will be a blowout over Carrol but the outcome will never be in doubt. Depth will be the difference if nothing else. Maybe something like 30 to 14.

Potomac Griz: i'm not going anywhere - should the saints get rolled i'll be here. i doubt you will should CC make a game of it....

CC has a shot, kudos to them for taking on a challenge, PSU could come out gangbusters and put them out early....but the Viks have a history of vapor lock in some very winnable games too.

I have a hunch that the Saints keep it competitive, but the old bugaboo that gives UM fits versus the bigger boys (depth, speed, etc..) will be the difference...so CC winds up on the short end of a 45-24 game.

Like one poster said, CC would beat a lousy UNC in a close one...

.I am remembering CENT. Wash coming here as a D2 and nearly beating us a few years back.

Saints took 2 of 3 from Central Wash in 2002-2004....

This is going to end badly.

I lived in Helena for two years, and I cannot tell you sick and tired I got of hearing about this. I had two people in my office (whose sons played for Carroll) that were convinced they would give the Griz a run. The constantly badgered me about the Griz “ducking” that game.
