Sagarin notoriously starts the season less accurate, because of fewer data points to connect all the teams in Division I football. As the season progresses, things iron out, because most results (games) make the data more statistically significant.

All i could think of as I was making the OP was how our division looks a LOT like FBS...look at Alabama's score compared to all the other FBS schools...then look at NDSU's compared to all the other FCS schools....miles apart. :evil: :evil:
