Didn't they move Whitted to safety? Play Rominger more...should start Rominger and rotate in Tully.

Maybe the best thing to do is to just keep complaining and offering (dumb) suggestions. That's what we're good at. We need to post "within ourselves". If we try to do more than we're capable of doing, we'll probably just make more mistakes. If this doesn't work, then we should complain about the mods and the owner.

Some funny comments in this thread - a lifesize cutout of Tru would be awesome, easily shut down 1/3 of the field.

As for Coogan that totally sucks. With Coogan gone and Lebsock out we're pretty darn thin at safety suddenly.

I sure hope I don't have to come out of retirement. I made a comment like that a few years ago, and someone was quick enough to ask me my 40 time. I responded that I didn't know because I could only run 20 now.

I can't believe we are to the point (from day 1 of this season, and even last year) where Griz Nation is having discussions on how to improve secondary play, especially at Safety...where UM is "Safety U" with all of it's safeties that made it to the NFL.

We don't always need future NFL'ers back there, but we need more than we are currently getting... :twocents:

Was thinking that exact thought yesterday...Tuff, Colt, Shann, Tru, Jimmy, Donny...it's been an amazing run of defensive backs and it's sad how quickly we as fans can begin to take things like that for granted.

We cant forget about Vince Huntsberger and Trey Young... Those two were great in the Secondary too!

True...but I was thinking of consecutive year run...there was a bit of a gap there between the Hauck/Huntsberger years and when Tuff came along to start the current stretch...

Finally, something we can agree on.

They moved Clay Pierson to Tight End, and we has a DE last year, went from like 210 to 245 in the last couple seasons, so he is not an option, against a passing team just replace Tully with a corner, hell replace him with a corner against a run team, it is not like he tackles anyone very often. Both safeties seem to be stumbling when the get to a ball carrier and the guy just runs right past them, it is getting very painful to watch.
