To have played the game in my parlance, college football. It's not an elite club. Again, that is not necessary to post. When I started using the term, I noticed how many posters almost broke down and started crying when I pointed out that they must not have played the game (because some of their comments were so dumb). So, I put that arrow in my quiver. You can't punch anyone in the nose over the internet, so other things have to be used to jab (in a friendly way).

Did you ever get very far in school? You have poor reading comprehension and you seem slow.

You know what else you cant do over the internet? One cannot make sure your attorney does not have you on the clock while he dicks around on a chat website... I watched Tom Cruise in The Firm and learned it is a felony to falsify clients billing statements....

I don't have any clients. Virtually no attorneys who bill by the hour would bill for anything other than work done. Glad you can get some info, even if from movies.

Do you really not understand the difference between needing to have played football to coach or comment, and me being able to notice from someone's posts that they didn't play football (or don't understand it). Two completely different things.

Translation: I played football, so I am smarter than you. I know you didn’t play football without knowing you. There is no way you can understand the game. Your posts are as useless as a knitted condom. Submit peasant.
I see Alpha has another troll account trying to run off more posters.

Why does this not surprise me in the least...

Apple. Not a huge deal. I'm just generally not a fan when sites bombard you with ads all over the place that inhibit your ability to read/use the site. I get to some extent thats probably what pays the bills, but it seems excessive. I'd rather pay 5 bucks a month and have no ads.

I get that annoyance. It must be the difference in operating systems. Sorry, I have no help to give on a solution on Apple.

I've had ads with no close or X pop up on my PC and have had to refresh the page numerous times. The ads on this website have become very excessive to the point that it's borderline ridiculous

That is so odd, I don't experience that at all! I'm using chrome on PC, and sometimes I use Edge.

As someone who frequents FBS boards through outlets like 247 Sports and ON3 as a paid subscriber, I have to say, to me its worth the five to ten bucks a month. The cost keeps most of the trolls, rival fanbases and casuals away and the forums themselves are actually moderated. It would be off-putting to many here, as some peoples behavior here on eGriz would not be well tolerated in an environment like that, but I have found that it makes the actual football banter much better. The ads are also almost non-existent. Obviously their model is slightly different as they also provide content in the form of stories, and typically have great insider intel regarding recruiting and team news, which is typically more prevalent for FBS teams. Not saying eGriz should go that route, just an example of how other boards do it.

Let me say it for you.

More soap opera crap? There's no "sacrificial season." A team wins or loses regardless of the drama fabricated up by malcontent fans in the cheap seats.

Put the pins and voodoo dolls away. The outcome will be what it will be.

I played the game, back in the late 60s and early 70s. We donned our slick bottomed church shoes, grabbed the NERF football, and headed out to the ice-covered street in front of our house. One night, in a particularly close contest, we were really up against it, and I called for Ronnie to streak down the left side, and when he got to the gold Ford Fairlane, take about a 10 degree turn toward the middle. And the skinny post was born. Football acumen really does exist at all levels.

What are these “cheap seats” you speak of?
