Sac State BB Loses 1 Scholarship/Lack of Academic Progress

The NCAA announced today that 99 Division I sports teams at 65 colleges and universities will lose scholarships for poor scholastic performance by their student-athletes. Included among those is the Sacramento State Men's BB team.

That article did not cover how many scholarships in Football in div 1AA.

MSU Bobcats are going to lose 2.76 scholarships. Griz football team was right on the Division 1 average and will not lose any scholarships. Griz football team scored 929, Bobcats scored 872.

Maybe it's that inter-session period that helps Griz score higher.

Or, maybe Grizzlies are just smarter than Bobcats.
 
Sadly Sac State has been named the worst offender in the country with 6 of their athletic programs mentioned as at risk. Perhaps their AD should be paying more attention to his program and leaving NCAA Committee memberships to those with their house in order.
