Sac at Idaho state right now 7:05 and NAU at Weber 7:05

I think I have come down from last night's postgame euphoria. That has to be the best final minute of college hoops, ever!! Well, at least for us. Unbelievable finish.

Yes we are 3-0 without JHarris. That's the type of system Jerome has put in over the years here in HornetLand.

We would have choked in the past, not anymore. Our team has so much heart. Hey after enduring that riduclouse 34-game losing streak that we thankfully ended against UM, watching our program come back from the grave is just.....well, words cannot describe it.

GO HORNETS!!!!

Don't take this as any kind of smack Sacto, but I was wondering if there are many die-hard Hornet fans like you.

About the only non-griz fans on this board are cat fans or the occasional eagle fan. From your attendance it seems like you all are filling up your gym as much as possible these days and I've heard that there's a bigger facility in the works.

But is there a SSU fan-base right now or do you think they will come with the success of your program? You've gotta have more students than UM. Are they interested? I know in California there are alot of schools competing for attention, but I would love to see Big Sky schools outside of Montana get some healthy and loyal followers.

There are a couple of hundred, but because of the lack of success in Div. I in football and hoops (men & women included), there is not a huge presence on the internet.

With winning, you will bring a lot of people out of the woodwork. I do know that people are starting to buy tickets more. A couple times last year, we had to turn people away because we would have exceeded the fire marshall's capacity for the Hornets Nest (what a problem to have).

The talk is starting to build in the general community and the media is starting to bandwagon now (which is a joke in of itself but I digress). The students are filling most of the 1200 seats, I would say about 3/4 of the arena.

Once the last little bit of fundraising comes in for the new arena, the student passed fee will kick in and the building will commence on an 8,000 gem.

That's a good sized arena for Sac. St. It's long overdue. I've changed my view on Sacramento State fans recently by reading their posts here and at the Nation, and also I've looked a little bit at sacbuzz.com, the Sac. St. boards. I've been hard on Sac. St. in my comments, but I'm glad to see their program improving.

...but you hornet fans have to realize that you'll alway be SUCK State in our hearts! :thumb:

I have to second that. My friends and I pick a day each year and celebrate the holiday of Skirts Day. It's like a replacement for the groundhog, you know, so you can tell when Spring is here. The weather warms up and you see a lot of leg. Heh... fun stuff...

I have witnessed this phenomenon you're talking about: "The Blooming of the Tits" or something to that effect.

Unfortunately I've rarely seen it in Montana. Probably a good thing.

Mung my friend, you are always welcome to come and visit the river campus and see the excellent ladies of Sacramento State in all their gloriness, which will start in about a month in a half.
