My wife and I go a few times a year down to the Emerald Downs
race track in Seattle. My wife bets on the names and colors and
I pretend to read the form. Well she had a sure thing in the
4th race ...Ryan's a Griz. The jockey even had Griz colors on it
..of course I bet on it and WON some money !! $$ !!

After looking at the owners name in program....It looks
like it was named after Ryan Staudacher because that was the
last name of the owners.

gotta love it, The horse won by 8 lengths
maybe it is a sign for next years team !!

According to Ryan's bio on montanagrizzlies.com, his dad's name is Bob, so maybe his parents own the horse.

Perhaps Ryan keeps in good shape by shoveling out the stable in the summer.

Thanks for posting that interesting news.

I was there the previous time it ran and talked with Ryan. He was there wearing his griz shirt and looked like he was in great shape. His dad and uncle own the horse. and when I was there, it didn't run so well.....

GREAT name for a horse.

I'm going to research when it next runs and head to the Downs.

(I usually bet on the horse colors also....)
