Hope all on E-Griz aren't too quick to crucify Ryan Leaf for his latest mistake. He's human and an addict. I'm sure he won't be forgiven, as "he was a guy who had everything", but that doesn't mean we don't support him. Good luck Ryan.

Ryan Leaf has EARNED all of the bad things that have happened to him from the time he was in 6th grade, he is proof that karma does indeed work. He really is just a worthless person and he has been his entire life. Sorry but I wont wish bad sh*t to happen to him but I really dont care if it does, he deserves it and then some.

I stil dont expect him to learn anything from this latest slap on the wrist. 5 years isnt enough for a multiple offender like he is.

What's wrong with you? Have you ever screwed up, oh high and mighty? I hope that some day you quit hiding behind this self righteous facade that you put out there. Hit rock bottom, and get addicted! Prick!

Oh the irony........

Ryan Leaf is an asshole. You can wax philosophical with the addiction thing all you want, but a bad person is a bad person. We are acting like this is a first time offense of being an asshole. It is not. Now does that mean humans cannot grow. It does not. However, my money is on Ryan Leaf not growing as a person. I hope I am wrong. However, there may not be a person on the face of the planet that I contain lesser sympathy for.

Call me a hippy if you like, but I believe in the idea of reciprocity, and Ryan Leaf has none coming his way..

and you are perfect! congratulations!

Leaf burned his bridge with me when he disowned the State of Montana publicly. That and when I seen him at the Big Sky conf tourney in Bozeman in 01 I believe? the year Trammell dunked at the buzzer to beat the cats. I don't think I have ever witnessed an individual more proud of himself or with their nose so stuck in the air as that douche. I'm more of a Dickenson guy. It will take alot by Leaf to make me change my mind. You reap what you sow!!

The "hammer" may fall upon your head some day...ironically.

Brother, I am far from perfect. Fucking up, and learning from that is what has made me who I am as a person. And, I can confidently say I am a good person. Ryan Leaf cannot say that, in my opinion.

For those of you that haven't met leaf and consider him just an addicted user, you are in for a real treat if you ever meet him. When he came up for the HIT tournament and personally wrecked two golf carts because he could, my opinion started to form? That little story in itself sums up his character. He has been a dick since he was in high school, how many more chances does a guy get? Please rockygriz tell me. Three chances is enough for this dumbass.

I understand where you're coming from as far as a guy getting himself screwed up and giving him the benefit of the doubt. I am far from a judgmental person but Ryan Leaf is an egotistical self centered prick and he has been long before he was addicted to pain killers or whatever his excuse is. I am an easy person but some people just deserve to be locked up.

I'm sure I come off as a ryan leaf fan, but i'm not. how could anyone? he's an ass! a spoiled brat! i'm just so tired of this holier-than-thou attitude that's coming across. does ryan deserve support or should he be crucified?

If the Ryan Leaf saga isn't proof there is such a thing as karma, then it doesn't exist.

There is such a thing as Karma. Ryan Leaf is the latest entry in the register, but I can think of many before ... Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Anna Nichole Smith, John Holmes, Jim Morrison etc. etc. etc.

The common thread is that they were given the gifts to achieve success in their own fields, thus allowing them to surround themselves with enablers who allowed them to destroy themselves.
