Hello everyone, this is Jerry's dad. I am also Jerry's position coach and have coached him since he was just a little guy. Let me answer your questions. Jerry's numbers were not up to par in track this year because he had a sledding accident on January 3rd and broke his knee cap. He wasn't even supposed to run track. But with three weeks left in track season, he decided to run. He is a competitor. He was not conditioned as well as he wanted to be. With three more weeks of running, he would have probably won. In the 100 meters, he was in the lead up to 80 meters and tightened up. I was just glad he tried it out and is running hard again.

Welcome to GRIZ NATION and EGRIZ (hope you will learn which yahoos to take with a grain of salt here). Will you be making a lot of GRIZ game or does HS coaching interfere?

Didn't mean to have that sound the way it did...honestly, the fact we have two walk-ons...FROM MONTANA....in the NFL is a minor miracle in and of itself...

AZ Griz, that's funny, cuz our WR group is probably tops in FCS, and that's not me being a homer. Your DB group better eat their wheaties before the game in Poky. Jerry Louie McGee is a talent, but he was a distant 2nd to the best playmaker in Idaho last year, Highland's T Campbell that is going to Snow then UofU after he gets his grades ironed out.

Keep sleepin.. Their are some new bsc big boys, and Montana no longer scares anyone, especially EWU & ISU.

I don't doubt that the Tigers are good. I just haven't thought about them since the last time UM played them. I was at the game, but I can't remember the score.

Did he just compare isu to EWU and UM?

We used to hear the same crap from psu, nau and weber fans...

Those were the days! I remember NAU fans piping up back when they had their blip. Weber fans might have been even worse. I personally think it's cute when BSC fans get chatty when their team is having above average results. It's like they actually think things are changing forever. See, e.g., the C17.

You guys will not be disappointed with JLM. I can guarantee you that. He's up to 178 lbs and is ready to go. I have coached for 25 years and have never, I mean ever, seen a kid like him. He will make Grizz nation proud.

Welcome Dad...

I have watched thousands of hours of tape in my life and can say that your son is faster in the film then his track times showed.

BTW This site is usually quite good, however every family (egriz included) has some slappies... take them with a grain of salt.

Holy shit!!! First winning season since god-knows-when and you are already counting yourselves top dogs!!!??? I'd say Ellis Henderson is likely the top WR in the Big Sky, maybe 2nd to that guy in Cheney.

Yeah, I think it's a little early to anoint idaho state.

Last year, they beat two DIIs (Chradron, by only 5) and Simon Frasier. They won just 6 DI games, only two of which were against teams with a winning record (CP at 7-5, Sac at 7-5), both at home.

The combined record of their other DI opponents: 11-36 (SUU 3-9; unc: 3-8; psu 3-9; Weber: 2-10).

Way to get it done....

Don't kid yourself Everett, these are the new BSC big boys, pookiedookie said so.

I see us finishing no higher than 5th in the conference now, maybe lower if there are other big boys I don't know about.

Holy shit! Did anyone else completely forget that ISU existed?

They play in the Frontier Conference, correct? I think they'll give Carroll a run for their money this year.

I wondered. Saw him once or twice on film as a senior. Definitely a dynamic kid. I wondered a bit if T was outshone by all the talent around him. The year before when highland played mountain view you couldn't help but notice buss for mountain view but you looked at highland and they just had dudes everywhere. T is a talent but I don't think JLM is that far off IMHO.

Hey Guys - Yes, we will be coming to games. I will not miss one at home. AND yes, our oldest son is an ISU Bengal. AND NO, Jerry did not want to go to ISU. His decision boiled down to a preferred walk-on offer from Oregon Ducks or the Griz. He decided on being a Griz based on education and he likes Stitt's offense. At no time did he ever consider going to ISU. The Griz offense is set up perfect for JLM.
As for the doubters. That's alright. Everyone his entire life has said he was small. They said that his Sophomore year in high school when he weighed 130 lbs, started at slot and ran for 16 touchdowns and was newcomer of the year.
Can't wait for you to meet him. Humble, a team guy all the way. He will not speak about himself. Team First.
