Ruh roh. MSU players players targeting Missoula Youth Football (MYF) with football camp at Big Sky.

It did not. For the record, I don't really love using the A.I. models for stuff like this. Gemini, especially, seems like it'll try its best to agree with whatever you try to get it to agree with. My hope is that some others who remember the promotional material for the camps will chime in. I will say, to the best of my recollection, the Gemini summary above seems pretty accurate.
I agree with you on that. It seems to have fixed itself now, but when I was looking up when the last time the Griz had played an NAIA football team, Gemini was giving me some wild hallucinations to try to tell me what I wanted to hear. It first listed Carroll and Tech before it went completely off the rails. I will never forget when we beat the Western Montana Mountaineers in September of 2011. It even gave me a score.

Two Montana kids hosting a skills camp around the state including in the home town of one of the kids? Oh the humanity!

If anyone thinks any Missoula kid with FCS level talent isn’t going to get attention from Bozeman you’re kidding yourself. They’ll go to the MSU camps too. It’s just the fact of being a high school player in MT.

And finally - if “we” are mad about a cat player hosting a skills tourney in his home town maybe don’t let the kid go to the cats? I know that’s on the prior HC and it’s water under the bridge now but for future plans let’s keep after the Missoula kids - like BK is doing right now.

Brint, with all due respect, we've moved on to MILF Camps now.

It’s viewable on Instagram. Taco Dowler and Adam Jones are partnering with Missoula Youth Football to host a camp for Missoula’s youth players. The poster shows current MSU players that started in MYFA.
Taco Dowler started in Missoula YFA?

One thing the kids on the poster have in common. They all took Ls playing the Frenchtown teams.

Now, who on Earth would take a thread about a Bobcat camp and make it about a completely different, and historically significant, Bobcat camp? That's ridiculous!

Such is life in the FCS that players are desperate for funds just like regular college students. These camps are actually a cool way Taco and Adam Jones can supplement getting less NIL money at MSU than bigger programs.
Exactly. FCS players should be doing as many camps as they can during the summer. Not sure this means much in terms cultivating loyalty to the cats. Kids don't care - they just want to have some fun in the summer.

People are saying the temp fence might have something to do with the tradition of hosting those Liquored-up MILF Camps where the participants are encouraged to “date a coach” and hotel blocks are reserved. IDK if true because I thought that tradition had been discontinued for about 4,777 rather obvious reasons. 🤷‍♂️
If you had said 3,7.77 reasons you would have nailed it. Just so close.

He’s not on the poster. The poster has Adam Jones, JJ Dolan, Dylan Rollins, Zac Crews and Patrick Duchien.
So you’ve got:
Jones who wanted to be an engineer
Dolan who was apparently not offered
Rollins who’s an LDS kid who signed with BYU only to reneg on his commitment after his mission and then attend Bozeman where his older brother and father played
Duchien who Vigen brought in a transfer qb to play in front of and will play his own kid in front of in 2027
And then there’s Crews who actually wanted to be a Griz and pissed it all away.
Does the football camp take Venmo and will they be having chicken strips for lunch?

From Title thread: At Big Sky, as in Big Sky Montana? If so, I don't see that penciling out unless marketing to player (parent) specific small group, lodging and staffing gratis by donors, this year's zip line package to entice rich people to Big Sky to spend time and money not just in the winter but year round. Lots of partners would benefit and the players just pawns in the scheme. I like to think but could be wrong that the market won't bear it. It's probably countered best by exactly what Coach Kennedy is doing: appealing to actual players over satisfying a business plan. Might be boomer thinking though.
Missoula Big Sky High School. It didn't open till 1980 so it's a little after your time😁.
