Did someone make a decision to expel JJ, and RE can either approve or reject the decision?

Also, I feel bad for the UofM for having to go through all this crap. I hope everything works out for the best in the long run, and the Griz can stay among the top teams in the Big Sky.

No rubber stamp if JJ did not participate based upon advice of counsel and potential for criminal charges. No way that could fly.

All well and good, but that's a death-sentence philosophy in today's litigious world.

EXACTLY! That is a pretty slippery slope. This is not the typical situation that a c of c panel would normally handle I would assume. Better to tread lightly with this one.
 
This is a mess. What does RE do when he overturns the decision and then jj is officially charged with sexual assault? does he allow jj to stay on the team until the court determines? or does he suspend him from the team until it goes through the court? no win situation.

Here is the problem. Fred VV hasn’t decided whether or not criminal charges are coming. With the intense scrutiny and pressure they are under, I am guessing that charges are coming if there is any sliver of doubt, at all.

I am not saying that JJ is innocent or guilty, as I don't know that. However, how would you like to be a guy charged with sexual assault in Missoula right now? You are pretty much fu-ked.
 
I would be surprised if JJ is expelled after the University publicly said he is enrolled and in good standing. That would be a hard statement to back track from if, in fact, his expulsion was decided and simply waiting for RE's stamp.
