We could bring in Patrick Mahomes and not win the conference next year. We are so far away in personnel it’s insane. Both OL and DL are average at best. On defense we don’t have much for speed. Some good hard hitters but they don’t have the ability to chase the sidelines.

So how many years does Bobby need to get his guys here? Will it take another 5? He is an absolute failure so far. One helluva salesman though. Look how convinced he has Hoops.

100%. Hauck said this publicly at his press conference end of this year and last year. We do not recruit our current players to stay. If you are unhappy and don’t want to be here please leave. It’s better for you and our program. You are easily replaceable.

Also, I know for a fact this was happening at MSU with Choate. No reason to believe it is not happening with Vigen now.

Oh Hoops, how wrong you are. Have you talked to players on the team? They can’t stand the man. Almost down to every player. And he isn’t the only one. Germer might even be worse. Do they say it in public, hell no. Because like you mentioned earlier, they want his recommendation for their futures. But I can promise you that they don’t like him.

I’ll go one step further. They even tell the recruits how awful this staff is. Not joking at all. They tell them what assholes they are during their time here. Now you know why we don’t score some of these kids. The older players don’t care and don’t want to see Hauck succeed later. Believe me or not, it is happening.

Ask a few....they stay because they want to play for the University of Montana and Griz nation, and that is enough to tolerate a has been narcissist and his foul mouthed assistants that get to stay because the narcissist can't admit he is wrong and make upgrades despite their performance. Kiss the ring and you stay, kiss the ring and you get some good ol'boy love at booster functions that some fans live for.....Sad that these fans/boosters compromise their manhood, football knowledge and desire for a true championship caliber team for his belly rubs. If Haslam could run a computer he would see all over the various social media platforms (or even in comments to news articles) the critical mass of Griz nation is not happy and want a change. Not sure how Bobby and coaches can want to continue knowing everywhere they go the majority wants changes. When was the last time you heard a Griz team booed at home (and they were NOT directed at players that was evident)....grab a damn clue.

I think egriz tends to provide a false snap-shot of what the larger Griz Nation feels about our current program. The usual jock-sniffers who follow Hauck around town to feel important tend to post here to offer support, because they know that the discontent among the larger fan base is real. It is what it is. I have never heard our home crowd booing our team before....EVER! That should be proof that the discontent is real.

Almost everything you said is wrong, but go for it. Hauck and the coaches don't use old school negative reinforcement. The program has climbed significantly since Hauck returned. More wins. Two top 8 rankings, and probably a top 10/12 this year. Playoffs and playoff wins. What has to change is that the Griz need a very good qb who is healthy and available for the whole season, or a backup who can step in and win games. That's mostly it. The recipe is clearly working. It started working almost immediately.

Players often don’t like their head coaches in college. The role or goal of the head coach is NOT to make the players like him. I didn’t like mine. So, no surprise. When Hauck first came, most hated him. Now, some of those guys have different view.

Players that say negative things to recruits, other than their little brothers, should leave the team.

When do you expect the Portal get full of Griz players leaving?

I’m in the middle. I’m a 25+ year season ticket holder and and a couple years ago started giving a modest QBC contribution. There are things I’d really like to see change, but I won’t stop supporting the kids just because I don’t like some of the things the staff does.

Back in the day Griz were dominant and the recruiting was a lot easier than now...now the cats are dominating and Weber and Sac and NDSU...a lot more competition.....and unfortunately the "old school" way of doing things doesn't seem to work with this new generation......It also wouldn't hurt to get the kids on a nutrition and better strength and conditioning program....we drop like flies and the next man up is also hurt....lots of work to do and if this staff stays the same they need to check egos at the door just like they expect their players to do....admitting being wrong is the first step but he won't do that, he is there for record books...he wants to set the Big Sky wins record at the cost of not improving a program just maintaining it long enough to stroke his ego and retire.

You don’t know what you are talking about. UM has had huge positive progress since Bobby returned. Averaging about top 10, with multiple playoffs and playoff wins, up from not in top 30 when Stitt left. Cats have won more playoff games in last 3 years. Who else?
