Rondo and Cherry

Not sure who is all watching the Lakers/Celtics series, but Rajon Rondo is fun to watch and a difference maker with defense, smart play, athleticism, and ball handling. Oh he also struggles with FT shooting and perimeter game.

Nonetheless, Cherry's game and impact on the GRIZ remind of Rondo's game and impact for the Celtics. Here is to hoping Cherry continues to develop and will have a Rondo like impact for the GRIZ. :thumb:

Rondo is unbelievable, despite his shooting.

Seriously, watch this series and compare their games. It gets me excited for GRIZ basketball. :thumb:
 
you and i must be in telepathic communication, mtgrizrule. i was just watching the game and making exactly the same comparisons--both are superquick, hustle constantly, have full court games yet are lousy three and free throw shooters. (one of rondo's threes from the corner clanged off the side of the backboard.) both have skills you simply can't teach. i'll be anxious to see how cherry's game has improved over his freshman year. and i'm hoping he plays in the pro-am league down here this summer.

As I was watching the 1st 2 games of the NBA Championship, I was thinking they were very similar in their games and impact. Ironic thing is they both come up with big plays down the stretch for their teams that swing momentum.

Any updates would be much appreciated on any of the CA area GRIZ.

Well then, we're even: I hate the Lakers but I love Derek Fisher.

I love the Celtics, Hate the Lakers but I like Jack Nicholson, as long as I don't have to see his mug courtside during a Lakers game.

Go figure!
