Role Call Boise

If the GRIZ make the championship, I might road trip it. How long is the drive from Missoula?

Around 360 miles taking highway 12 west and highway 95 south to Boise. I am thinking of doing the same thing, just watch the championship game, but plan to take a longer route because I want to make a stop in sun valley to do some skiing first.

Wife and I are flying in Wednesday night and will be there through Sunday. Staying at the Grove. We got an executive suite with a parlor so let me know if anybody would like to meet up for a drink.

No kidding, '68! Lots of people take I-15 from Missoula just to avoid the slow driving speed and the curves.

What happens when monida pass closes due to snow, wind, and drifts across the road? It happens.

Boy, does it ever!

Back in the day -- when we were up to driving to Missoula for FB -- we dreaded what might happen on Monida. Also, there's a big sweeping curve about 2 miles south of Spencer (abt 17 south of the pass) that's always prone to icing up really, really bad under the right (wrong) conditions. We lost track of how many cars and trucks we saw go off there. And, yes, it happens in March too.

We usually have good luck parking just west of the capital. It's free. As far as food goes; my favorite restaurant in the valley is Epi's. It's a Basque place but a bit expensive. Think of classic Italian super club (e.g. Borries; Lydia's; 3-D) meets Basque. It's a ways from downtown in neighboring Meridian. Bardinay is downtown in the Basque district and has excellant food and they make their own gin and vodka. close to downtown is Barbacoa which offers good steaks and seafood. Fantastic happy hour. Chandler's is always good and so is Fork but you probably need to get reservations. Have fun in Boise!!

On our way from Spokane this am. Long time fans/supporters originally from Missoula and still make every home football game but this is our first BB tourney. High hopes for this team and proud of what they have accomplished this year so far. Go Griz!

It took about 10 hours to drive from MSLA by interstate on 90 - 15 - 86 yesterday with a couple meal stops
We left town at 7:30am > snowpack and Ice until be got down off Monida around Dubois ... got to Boise at 530pm
😏
