Patterson, that is. For as little live reps as that guy has received, I thought he played really well. Did a better job than Kris, in the headlights!

Agreed. Really embraced the opportunity and went after it. Had some nice throws. Had some bad ones but to be fair the bad ones were in tough spots with the game clock winding down and needing to make something happen.

Played with a lot of heart! Dudes a gamer for sure and wasn’t backing down. I loved it.

Take it from all of Bozeman, it’s not good on your heart to have to rely on a QB who doesn’t throw well. When you run into good teams who stuff the run it ends in an ass kicking. Ala NDSU 2019

get Robbie Patterson some time throwing and with his run ability he reminds me allot like Jordon Johnson
Agree. Kid has some wheels. Needs some reps and work on his passing and he might just be alright!

Man he is not in the same stratosphere as JJ when it comes to throwing. He will not be that guy.

Britt would be closer to that type of game than anyone. Regardless I think we need a QB to come play for the next two years.

Left his heart on the field in a difficult situation. Earned my respect for sure. Glad he is a Griz.
Patterson is an exceptionally elusive runner; his best position may not be QB.

Patterson is a great wildcat qb. As far as throwing goes, he's not even close to Browns level. Brown is a way better passer. Patterson is a way better runner. He reminds me of the Cat qbs. I don't want a cat type qb.

I don’t know if you are right. Brown may be a better passer. I haven’t seen Patterson throw enough yet to judge. If they are out on the practice field throwing routes against no defense Brown may be a better thrower but at this point Brown just doesn’t look ready mentally to me and if he is a really good thrower it seems to be negated by his lack of experience/confidence. I don’t have a favorite, though I would like to see a Montana kid be our QB, I just think overall Patterson looks better to me. I don’t even think it is close at this point. Hopefully, Brown finds that confidence and mental part to go with his physical tools or Patterson cleans up any throwing deficiencies he has or both. Maybe Britt is the guy and he will prove it next year. In any case, way we need a guy to step into the leadership role that is the QB position.

You're spot on with the mentality part. I really hope that changes by next season and he gains confidence. If he can get his head in the game, opposing teams better watch out, if not, well its a shame because he has all the talent he needs.

KB is a good passer and seems pretty darn accurate when he has time to throw. And that's the problem. He takes forever to get set, go through the progressions and then decide to deliver the ball. I like how Patterson plays - would love to see him develop into a passer with his toughness and a good set of wheels he'd be a problem for defenses.

The few times I have seen Patterson he has looked confident and looking to seize the opportunity to play and earn playing time doing everything he can to win. He fights through and around tackles and makes something out of nothing. Would like to see what he can do with a some development. By development I mean have the starting role for several games at least having got a majority of first team snaps in practice. Playing whole games rather than being put in when the chips are down in crunch time.

Patterson is not the answer at QB.

Maybe not but who on the roster is? I pick him over Brown at this point. Haven’t seen Britt or any of the others. I can’t pick a guy who isn’t on the roster yet?

That's the whole point, and a good reason why we're likely to get at least one transfer QB this offseason.

Fortunately for the team I don’t make the picks. Just giving an opinion on what was in the field this year. Obviously you are expecting/hoping for a transfer
