Rob Ash interview yesterday, he was quoted as, "The Road to the Big Sky Championship goes through Eastern Washington"........
You would think he would have phrased that differently.

I am pretty sure he also said it goes through Montana and Montana State, all three.

With the unbalanced schedule some of the Big Sky teams don't travel to all three of those locations or even play those three teams at home. Therefore, they have no connecting road to get to the road that goes through EWU, Montana or Montana State.
