One of the premier recruiting sites, of course. But I was a bit miffed that they had Sayeed Pridgett up there with no stars, and hadn't yet listed Alphonso Anderson, the while they ballyhooed Utah's signing a three-star shooting guard. So I sent a quick note to them, saying Pridgett was at least a two-star and Anderson a three, what's up with that, and was surprised by this response within minutes:

"I will do you one better on Pridgett, he should be a three-star prospect (I like his size and versatility in the backcourt) and it will be entered. On Anderson I just flat forgot to mark him as committed but that will be handled as well. DeCuire is putting together a nice class and I'm certainly aware of his background and he is a very nice guy."

Yea, Rivals!

Nice job citay! Their coverage of non high major recruiting on the west coast really bothers me at times. Its been lacking for years. I dont understand how verbalcommits, a seemingly much smaller site, can be so accurate and up to date but Rivals and especially ESPN with all their money and resources cant even have accurate commitment lists.

This is what I objected to, the commitment list. Shows only Sayeed with no stars, and no Alphonso. This is what I am told will be corrected.

Unfortunately, Alphonso is now shown as three stars, but committed to Gonzaga! :o I suspect this is in error since other recruiting sites show him going to the Griz, but it would be nice if Rivals fixed this too!

I trust it's a misprint. As of late August, Gonzaga was not one of the schools he was scheduled to visit.

Sent yesterday, Saturday. Rivals works weekends!
Dear Rivals:
Emailed you about ten days ago, re the Montana commitment pages.
Two problems.
One: Sayeed Pridgett is a three-star. You said so yourself! And he was just listed by the San Francisco Chronicle as one of the top five players this year in the San Francisco Bay area. Yet he still shows up on our Commitment page with no stars.
Second: Alphonso Anderson, a three-star recruit out of Tacoma, has also committed to Montana, not to Gonzaga, as reported by Rivals.

Would it be possible to update our Commitment page to reflect these two developments?

Much appreciated!
