RIP Mike McGowen

My Condolences to his family.

I crossed paths with him once or twice on Campus and he always seemed really genuine and was obviously a terrific football player.

RIP, that is way too young
 
I knew Mike fairly well and had a great deal of respect and admiration for his intellect and drive. He was truly a unique individual and he will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Mike.
 
If you knew Mike consider yourself lucky.

He loved the Griz and mentoring young players.
It was sad when Stitt didn't keep him on as a voluntary position of team Chaplin

Impressive stated above that he was a 3-time all-American scholar-athlete.
He was a part of one of the best and most fun defenses to watch.

I was very sad to hear of Mike’s passing. We played together and he was deeply intense from both an athletic and intellectual perspectives. He was a good one.
 
I had the distinct honor of having Spike officiate my dad’s celebration of life in February. In this I was able to get to know him on a deeper level. Loved his heart, his intellect, and certainly his physical prowess. This was a tough one. He is missed.
